Not with 100% confidence but I don't think so. They appear to use totally different communications technologies.

You can get these to send an alert to your text number instead of email. For instance, with Verizon, the text email is your phone number, for instance: [email protected]. The other carriers have this also, you need to google to find out what the email extension is. Much more convenient to receive text because my smart watch will alert me. I had to turn off smart notification of emails because of an avalanche of junk mail. Gouvee doesn't send junk texts, only the alerts.

that's correct: the old sensors H5054 are only compatible with the old gateway H5040, and the new sensors H5058 are only compatible with the new gateway H5043 unfortunately. (source: have both sets and tried to combine to a single gateway without any success, so running both concurrently.)
