Rock Auto is legit! Usually has the best prices for parts. Recently I bought a set of tie rods. The right tie rod was missing. All I needed was my order number, went through their online process and they sent out the part without having to go back and forth with customer service (so keep those email receipts).
Like others have said, the downside is you'll have to pay for shipping, but their prices are usually better (shipping included) than Amazon, eBay, etc.
I've been using RockAuto for years and agree with the poster before. I have never placed an order without 5% off. Definitely not a "deal" outside of the normal deal that has existed forever. This is great to get them visibility though. I have only had great experiences with their site and highly recommend them.
They don't pay for returns they take it out of your refund and their return system is a joke. Using their part drop down I picked out spark plugs I needed for a Kia sorento the spark plugs didn't fit. Went to Kia and the part number for the spark plugs same brand was different. rockauto had been using an incorrect plug for the us gdi engine. When I went to return it Rockauto basically said it wasn't my fault and it wasn't their fault so I pay return shipping and if I remember there was a small restocking fee or other bs that I was able to get waived. Buy for the price if you like it but realize customer service is a joke.
This has been my experience as well. Delayed time to do mainteance or repair on a vehicles ends up costing more than trying to save a a dollar or two at Fock Auto. I really do not like them at all after dealing with their wrong part hassles.
I may be dumb but I thought the magnets were random, I've never received one that matched any of my vehicles, always just hot rods
Might not be exact year but for all 3 of my vehicles honda pilot, suby forester and suby impreza I've received magnets for those model cars and I thought to myself "man that is very unique and extra cool on their part for doing that." Maybe if they don't have one at that moment for your vehicle they send a random one OR it is up to the employee packing or processing your order to take the extra care.
Damn... Can't believe I've never come across them before.... What parts do folks here mostly buy from them? Oil including all the other fluids and under the hood parts?

I got those same magnets when I ordered parts for a Chevy Corsica. I thought they were trying to tell me something like, maybe one day, this could be yours.

They are the best place to get Callahan brake pads. I just wish they would put the guarantee on the box.

Don't despair; at least one of us got the joke haha
I've been ordering from Rock Auto for years and they've always done me right, and compared to local parts houses their prices are amazing. Although recently I buy more of my parts from Amazon. Amazon has gotten very competitive on pricing, and with Prime free shipping they often edge out Rock Auto for the better deal overall. On certain things though, Rock Auto still beats them, so I always shop both as well as eBay when parts shopping. Regardless of which of the 3 I buy from, I usually save 40%-75% over buying locally.

Only downside is they charge for shipping and you could get hit with multiple shipping charges if your products are coming from different warehouses.
I don't know if you guys knew this but here is the link to the RockAuto discount code megathread on slickdeals that has new updated discount codes.
