Today I went to nearby Costco to enquire about these 15 pro deals. Surprisingly, the rep explained me about the whole new deals which I never heard and seen anywhere.

The deals is Verizon offers the free iPhone 15 pro & pro max for Costco members and we need to be with them for 36 months with eligible unlimited plans. In this case, he told that we can choose the Unlimited Welcome (starter plan) that cost $37 with group discount (6 lines). Additionally, we can get $20 discount when enable the auto pay and paperless billing per line which will come down to $17. And, they will charge the pro max EMI $33 for first two bills ONLY. In third bill, they will refund that and then no more EMI in the upcoming bills. Also, we will get Costco shop card $250 for each new line. Has anyone heard these deals?
I'd take what they said with a grain of salt. Per the Verizon website unlimited welcome doesn't qualify for the free iPhone 15/15 pro, only unlimited plus and unlimited ultimate. Also autopay is $10 per line not $20, so not sure where the rep pulled that from.

Earlier when I called a rep told me that I can get on a plan that will give me (as a new Verizon customer) 4 lines for $35 per line and that is before autopay. He said with autopay it will be $30 per line. It's not on their website and when I attempted to call back to confirm with another rep, I was on hold for over an hour so I got tired and hung up.

I don't believe what they spout unless they can provide me with a printout from their system that states exactly what they're saying.

I'm on an old 10gb plan. Almost 2 years ago I received an offer from Verizon for an additional 1000gb data for $5 per month. In order to keep this plan I cannot utilize any of these promotions. I've been buying my phones from google for the last 6 years anyways, but some of these deals tempt me.. Until I look at prices of the unlimited plans. I pay about $115 for my 2 lines. I guess buying my phones outright is easiest

Bingo… just ran the math again to confirm. Saving $500 per year by buying the phones from Apple and activating on Prepaid.
You a fairly spot on. Wife and I sat down and did the math on this deal today, down to the penny as close as we could. We will each save $560 per year, by ordering an unlocked from Apple and sticking with our $25 Visible plan, vs going with Verizon's cheapest eligible plan. Might be different if you need more lines, but that was the math for us. That savings is not insignificant, and basically covers a free upgrade every year if we so choose. We are probably in the minority, but have been very happy with Visible. 2 Pro Max's are ordered, late October delivery.

It doesn't have the same network priority. I agree with the sentiment that you can save on prepaid though.

Your area may not experience so much network congestion that you're ever prioritized in any meaningful way, but you are prioritized accordingly.
Actually..the prepaid AT&T plans have the same priority as the postpaid plans. To my knowledge, it's the only prepaid from any carrier or MVNO where that is the case. There's basically no difference in quality of service apart from fringe roaming in remote regions that you will likely never go to being a bit better on postpaid. Roaming in remote areas certainly not worth paying 3x for monthly.

If I'm on Verizon already, can I cancel my existing plan and sign up as new line for The promo?
Would love to know the same. What's the wait period if there is one? Anyone know?

You ordered too late. I ordered about 1 hour after the notification email went out and natural color 15PM 512 will be here on Monday. I think you will get your earlier though, I think they are always conservative with the estimated delivery

I hope you didn't buy from him. He either has no idea, or he was lying through his teeth. I think he was lying. He told me I could get the unlimited ultimate and then after a month downgrade to plus and not lose any of the credit. He also told me about the 2 month wait to get the credit, and the paperless billing. It was all a lie.

If you do the math, you will end up better off if you buy a phone outright and get on a cheap prepaid plan. These types of lock in "deals" are intentionally only for expensive postpaid plans. I'm on the ATT 25 a month 300 a year plan and it has just as high cell tower priority as the postpaid plans do. Plus on top of 3 years of expensive plans, and the accompanying BS taxes and fees, you are forced to pay sales tax up front on a $800 plus phone. That's another ~$100 there.

TLDR: these "free" iPhone promos are for poor people and people who can't do basic math. The only person this is a "slick deal" for is the carrier.
I pay $35/mo for unlimited with a family plan and got $830 towards an iPhone 15 pro vs $200 trade-in credit.
That's $1260 for 3 years of service and $170 for the phone.
$25 prepaid plan would be $900 for 3 yrs service and $800 for the same phone with $200 trade credit.

If you do the math, $1430 vs $1700.

*Have to pay taxes either way on the phone so it's silly to count that as a $100 negative toward choosing postpaid.

You only pay tax on the amount you pay for phone which is the difference with what they give you. So on that phone if it's 1100. Then tax is only on the part you pay

Plus contract for 2 or 3 years of overpriced service.

Always compare the 3 years of service that you are forced to pay to get discounted phone with other carriers. Total 3 year cost. Include the resale value of phone you turn in.

Verizon, ATT are very expensive when you get a discounted phone and get trapped in 3 year contract.
Exactly, people don't understand that a shiny new phone and an unbelievable trade in value for your old phone, is a front to get you into a high margin profit making plan for the phone carrier. Yeah you get 800$ for your 200$ worth phone. But you're paying upto 40-45$ per line in a family plan even with 4+ lines. When you can get an unlimited for 25$ pm. Let's take an example of T-Mobile on plans like essentials you get unlimited data for 25$ pm but to get this trade in offer you need to be on go5g or go5g plus which is at least 40$pm. Which is 550$ taken from your pocket in 3 years. Moreover anytime you want to change your plan to move to a lower cost they'll tell you, you will lose your promotion offer. These calculations don't include the veteran/ nurse discounts. A lot of this comes from my personal experience with T-Mobile. People don't understand that businesses don't work by giving out magical deals. They are running and in profit because of these carefully crafted plans that ultimately aim to exploit people who do not go into the simple mathematics of money.
