I'm currently a Fios customer with cellphone service with T-Mobile (6 lines). However the T-Mobile account is in my wife's name. Would I still be able to port over the lines even though they are not in my name? Would this cause any issues with the switch promo? I noticed there are some delays with certain phones, what phones are people using in the meantime while their phones get delivered? Are you using your old phones from the previous carrier and then send them in for the rebate once the new phone arrives?

I switched from Tmobile to Visible literally a month ago. Could I port to tmobile for a day and take advantage of this offer? Anyone got any insight?

Regarding an upgrade for an existing Verizon customer -- there is a lot of talk in here about being stuck on a 3 year contact if you do the upgrade however when we visited the kiosk at our local Costco, the rep told us we have the option of paying the new iPhone 15 price minus the $830 credit up front so that seems like a nice option to stay paid off and out of a 'contract' situation with phones if you have the $.

Whenever you cancel your Verizon service, whatever that's left in the balance becomes your due then. The $830 credit is purely a credit each month against your balance. What the rep says does not change anything. You just pay upfront more which is even worse.

Ah, Interesting. I thought they meant it would be a $0 difference to my bill - I pay the difference and then it's a done deal. Your way of looking at it makes more sense for Verizon's benefit for sure

Not ours. Ordered on 9/25, still not shipped, and I got an email saying they are getting delayed a bit more.

All depends on which colors/size you ordered though. 2 pro maxes, both 512gb, one natural and one white.

Whats the longest you have to stay on the plan, I know it says you get the credits over 3 years (36 months), but couldn't you just do this, keep the plan for a few months until the costco cash cards and switcher rebate come then go switch over to T-Mobile who will then pay off your balance on up to 5 lines (up to $800/device)? Am I missing something?
