These are great quality and last forever in the pantry. I add a pinch to my oatmeal and they rehydrate well. They're also awesome as a baking additive without adding too much moisture to your recipe. The last can I bought was just under $13 but this is still a good deal.

Should be a "10" pack is what the picture shows. I took a picture in case I don't get the 10 & will probably get a refund if they just send 1. This seems to happen a lot!
No, honey, a "No. 10 can" is the size. It's one of those big cans that can hold a gallon of water (or ten pounds of stuff depending on what you put in it). It's the size restaurants buy, or like the big cans you get from Costco or Sam's. They're just called #10 or No. 10 cans.

Amazon customer service is great and they might give you $5 for your trouble or maybe even refund your money if you ask after the fact. 🤷🏻 Just don't think you're going to get ten cans because it *is* labeled properly.

WOW. #10 refers to a standard size which measures approximately 6 3⁄16 x 7 inches and has a volume of 104-117 fluid ounces (approx. 3 to 3.5 liters).

Nice catch. I didn't notice the 10 pack in the first picture either. It disappears when you zoom in, so I don't think Amazon is sending anyone 10 cans. Good idea taking the picture.

For reference, I buy Trader Joe's freeze dried strawberries often at $3 for 1.2oz or $2.50/oz compared to this can at $2.81/oz

Not sure what the going price is at other groceries.

Amazon frequently sells this sells for $20 per can, so $18 is a little cheaper, but not a fantastic deal.

I don't think this is a good price. I just bought a couple of days ago 2oz dried strawberries at CVS for $2.99 (sale price):

That's so weird. I've never had that issue, but I leave the absorber in.

Also, for what it's worth, I live in the frozen northern Midwest and unfortunately this *is* a good price on dehydrated strawberries where I live. 😒

Definitely a response to absorbing humidity. Freeze dried items would act as desiccants themselves because of the nearly complete water removal and extremely high osmolarity.

They'd need to be well sealed between uses, ideally with as you said, a desiccant in the container. You could also open them and vacuum seal smaller packages for individual use.

Great dog treats, much cheaper than freeze dried stuff from Petco etc

It literally said 10 PACK on the product photo… I have a screenshot showing it…

I know what a #10 can is, this didn't reflect that.

I did get the item for free because Amazon is notorious for mislabeling their items, honey!
