With the G3...colors are now comparable to QD Oled colors like the Samsung Oleds. I looked at a G3 next to a C3 the other day at the store and it blew the C3 out of the water. Color luminance was next level. Everything looked better on the G3.

Samsung is still working on longevity on their Oleds and burn in is more of a risk vs LG. I also trust LG more with their firmware updates and their OS and gaming features working as intended way more than Samsung and Sony also to be honest.

"The LG G3 is an incredible OLED TV with exceptional picture quality and is a big improvement over the LG G2 OLED. Its MLA focusing layer allows it to get extremely bright, and its whites get even brighter than the Samsung S95C OLED, although the latter has the edge regarding bright colors."

So it comes to what you prefer. I, personally, like the more natural colors of LG over the vibrancy of Samsung, but to each their own.

I might do it! The G3 is the one I've been really wanting. The deals on the C3 don't excite me much as it's basically the same TV as the C2 from last year, but the G3 is a big step up from the previous generation with much improved brightness due to MLA. Also comes with a 5 year LG warranty. If it's within your budget, I'd pay extra for the G3 and be satisfied for years to come knowing you got the best TV available.

None of LG panels come close to Samsung colors.
I'll have to find one to view in person.

Oh wow

And receipt from Buydig eBay is ok with for warranty purposes?

I've run into issues with EBay purchase where manufacturers don't recognize any eBay purchases.

-------------
searched around in red dit, seems this is not an issue. pulled the trigger for 77
Someone correct me if I'm wrong here but when purchased via eBay isn't it considered a "grey market" which would invalidate any warranty from the OEM? I recall Samsung being pricks about this in the past. Not sure about LG tho. Might pull the trigger if the warranty is indeed intact although that might be hard to verify.

Update - BuyDig is listed as an authorized dealer however I don't know if it extends out to their eBay sales.

I can see that Buydig is a authorized seller?

Yes and what is it about?
12:12 pm
If I purchase a new TV from their eBay Store, would LG honor the full Warranty ?
12:12 pm
Asking because there's no mention of eBay site in the warranty information.
12:12 pm
I can share the eBay link if that's useful.
12:13 pm
Let me inform you about our warranty coverage
12:13 pm
it depends if you buy a Unit
12:13 pm
if it's brand new we will cover the warranty of the Unit and if it's a "USED" or such an open box the warranty coverage will be handle by your dealer

Damn that's a good deal on the TV I want. Is it time to pull the trigger?
No matter what, TVs will always go down in price, so you've just gotta go for it when you feel comfortable with the price. Then make peace with the fact that even if you wait until it's a couple hundred bucks cheaper, you would eventually see it even cheaper than that. You'll always make more money. After a little while, you'll never think about that money again. At least that's what I tell myself. This is a sweet price, though.

Bad timing for me or I'd jump on it. Literally nowhere to put it right now lol.

I'd have jumped on it for $2300 a few weeks ago. Maybe we'll see $1900 or less by the end of the year?

Been keeping an eye on this for 6 months now and pulled the trigger. I could wait a few months and possibly save a few hundred, but I'm moving into a new home in a week so I would rather get things in place now. I plan to keep this display for at least 7 years and I've read plenty of reviews to know that this will be better than Samsung for my needs. I've been loyal to Samsung for the past 11 years.

I got the 77 from Verde "foot-fingers" a couple of weeks ago for 3400. Great TV, though the install was a bit tedious for me and my wife. Definitely a step up from my 8+ year old Bravia.

I had the same thought, but the 5% is capped at $1500 of purchases / $75 reward. Still sad to miss out on an extra $75, but not as disappointing as a full 5% would have been.

The G3 line doesn't come with a TV stand and the official LG branded one that can be bought separately doesn't seem that good (it has a slight upward tilt). If not mounting a G3 to the wall, what are some decent stands that don't cost too much?
