How is this compared to Walmart's Hart mobile tool box for $89 [walmart.com]?
I'm not so sure about the built quality on this one

I have about 10 total boxes, I use them for my tools (obviously) but I also have the modular unit for doing in home IV therapy for patients. The one thing that annoys me about the modular set is that you cannot open the top box all the way when it is attached to the stack. Then lid hits the handle in this configuration shown, even if the handle is pushed all the way to its lowest setting. So if you want to access the top box you need to remove it from the stack or only open it partial...probably only annoys me but thought I would point it out

Built in the same plant in Israel. I first scoffed at hart stuff having the Dewalt system at work but it's great quality and use the boxes at home

Tempted to get this. Similar products from other companies tend to skip putting a lid on the large bottom box. It's only "closed" when you put the 2nd tier on. Which is a weird design decision, since the modular nature of these boxes would imply you won't always need to take all 3 boxes with you.
I've never seen a single stack system that doesn't have a lid on the primary box. Some offer a crate box that can be used with the system, but you don't have to buy that...

Here's an example: Black & Decker Beyond [amazon.com]

My company ordered one of these for us to carry equipment and promotional items for trade shows. I was sorta stunned the bottom box didn't have a lid, because it absolutely has pre-formed spots for hinges and latches. I reached out to B&D to ask if this was a mistake and they said it was intentional.

So I went to Home Depot and Lowes and shopped around. Half the options were the same. Any that did have a lid for the bottom box were 50-100% more MSRP.

This was mid-to-late pandemic, so I can only assume it was a cost-cutting measure by some manufacturers.

Is this compatible with the Ridgid boxes? That system looks very similar and I have a couple of them already.

I believe these are only compatible with Craftsman boxes, there may be something Stanley branded out there as well. Ridgid I'm not sure has any compatible systems, I believe they're a TTI (Milwaukee) brand but they're not packout compatible I don't think which is the marque system for them.

Pretty much all of these systems except I want to say maybe packout are made by Keter in Israel as you mention. One thing to note though, the quality of assembly and manufacturing is only as good as the product design and materials budget. Some of these systems are made with much less reinforcing, thinner etc. Even the premium brand stuff isn't always good due to flaws (Original tough system for example actually has a lot of annoying problems if you use it hard). The Flex branded ones look pretty good for a "discount" brand, I haven't looked closely at the HART units. I think even Harbor freight is sourcing one of this type of systems now.
