I have both. With Gamepass I will say Xbox has the edge, for now anyways.
Game Pass is definitely a game changer for Xbox. I haven't bought very many games in the last few years simply because I've been able to enjoy most of the ones I want just by paying around $40 a year for GP.
Sure, if 20 hour long cinematic single player games (that you'll only play through once and never again) are more your thing, then definitely go with a PS5. But if you want a massive selection of games from different genres for less than the price of a single full priced game per year, then get an XSX with GP.

Damn that is kind of the perfect summary of what my experience with Playstation has always been like
xbox series x owner here, don't bother, just get the ps5, much better selection of games. MS is in the gutter
I own both and play my xsx 300% more.
Best part of the PS5 is nvme compatibility, worst is the controller, and the fact that you can't use PS4 controllers on PS5 games, also I am not a fan of the new PS5 controller, I have 2 but wish I could use one of my ps4 controllers instead. I read many reviews that rave about it, but I have yet to find anything I like about it over the previous gen.
with all that said, I bet there will be better black Friday bundles for the xsx if you are debating on waiting

Looks like it stacks with 15% off target circle offer for an additional $75 off. At least it did for me. Came out to $403.74 pre tax with free game discount, 15% off and redcard discount.

Yes I see the same thing. I have a 15% off offer in the target circle and it works on Xbox console.
I dunno if the 15% off offer is YMMV
