I was expecting a general use coupon, not an advertisement
insulting coupons
It's a legit site. I have my military and fire dept info with them. A lot of companies use it to verify if you're one of the above. I don't have a military id but because of Id.me I was able to verify it with lowes and I just use my drivers license in store.

It's insulting because they're collecting data on people prior to disclosing what the actual benefit is. Then after they've disclosed, they found out it was nothing more than a targeted advertisement masquerading as a thank you. Hence... it would actually have been nicer to offer them nothing.
So you didn't have a Lowe's accounnt prior to this offer? That's amazing. I like how several of you keep saying it's "insulting" like Lowe's or anyone else owes you a thing for being a first responder.

You're being very obtuse. First, you're assuming I am one. I am not. Second, I said it was insulting one time. I can't "keep" doing something I've only ever done once. I don't operate as a collective, I'm not associated with the others. Third, you've completely sidestepped the simple fact that it is merely targeted advertising. I didn't say that Lowe's owes them anything, I said it would have been nicer if they offered nothing... much the same way that we all wish there were fewer targeted advertisements in this world. If a company baits people with "thanks" only to deliver them spam, that's a bit much. However, if you don't like a particular group (first responders), that's OK with me... but you've not put an ounce of thought into this, otherwise you'd know how silly you sound.

You're right, it might vary depending which cashier you get, but they wised up to this and policy is to no longer take them.

FYI ID.me includes Physicians as well. Seems like they are excluded a lot for these first responder type discounts for some odd reason.

Not familiar with ID.me but I started going through the process and they want name, DOB, and full SSN. Then you're supposed to upload your LE ID with photo?

Anybody have prior experience with this site? Seems weird to take the full SSN.

The US government even uses it to allow people to log into things such as their VA health accounts and service records. It's legit.

Also disappointed there's no 10% off coupon.

I did just buy 2 rooms' worth of LVP flooring. I'll be watching their pricing closely come October 1st. Interested to see if the current price goes up before the coupon.

They did kinda. But, you can still buy them on ebay. I use hugeoff.com, much eaiser. Prices are cheap, with immediate email. $20 off $100 is my usual go to coupon.
I dont like giving my personal info so it can be sold, just to save a few bucks.

Yes I do. Was not asked for anything other than my Government email.

How generous, only 100% profit 😂

I used to enjoy my 10% military discount at Lowe's and HD, but now they limit it to specific items and if the item is on sale, you don't get the 10%. I ran into it when doing a bathroom remodel, the Vanity ($999) was $40 off but if it was still at regular price I would be getting almost $100, but the "Sale" $40 off made it not eligible for the 10% off. They no longer offer it on appliances.

I guess I'm spoiled having been getting it for so long, more than likely the newer First responders don't have anything to compare it to, so they won't be as disappointed as I've become.
