Looking for woodworkers and DIYers to build a wooden coffin.

There a deal for a $1,150 metal casket but I was thinking we could do better.

Would a woodworker step forward and give direction on building a simple wooden casket
with one stipulation … to keep it Kosher it must not use nails or screws "or duct tape".

The duct tape thing is a personal wish…. everyone would know I built it.

You could probably use glue and dowels in place of screws.

That's the best route for someone with basic skills that's unable or unwilling to do dovetails or mortices. They're super easy to do with a drill.

Another option is to get in touch with some Meetup or other clubs that do woodworking. They're usually fantastic for advice, and might even find it an interesting project to help with or take on.

Why would a home made coffin have to even be particularly good? It's just going to rot away anyway. I like the blanket idea better.
