7k points are about $70~100 in value. Chase travel is usually so much more expensive than other portals (expedia, airline website etc). The $70 in point is probably not worth booking through chase travel, especially if you have to book a flight AND hotel.
Lmao $5, really Chase
Chase Sapphire Preferred gets a $50 hotel credit every year Smilie

I don't think Chase cares if you actually make the flight as long as you don't cancel/refund.

I got the deal but I did the math from my existing points into credits.

Current Points: Your 1,211 points are worth $ 15.13

So this means 7,000 points is worth about $87.46 in travel credit. I thought it would be worth much more.

If I'm doing something wrong with my math or how the points work let me know chat.

Thanks.

must booking hotel and flight together makes this deal hard enough for 70$, especially when you consider Chase offer more expensive hotel and flight. also, I can't find the deal on email or portal after activating it, so no guarantee I still have this deal I guess

Definitely did not read that as "new bookers" initially… thought I was back in Amsterdam for a second.

Only had to pay an extra $20 over the hotels member rate. But paid the rest as points when the hotel didn't have a direct transfer from Chase

My experience having booked a few times through the portal for bigger names (delta, Marriott, etc) is it's the same price as delta.com, etc.

That's 1.25 cpp (cent per point)... so you must have a Sapphire Preferred. Reserve holder would get 1.5 cpp as travel credit as many other posters have commented. Or transfer to travel partner and get better value... such as 1.8 cpp to 10 cpp at Hyatt.

Does the travel need to be completed by 1/31/24 or just booked by then?
