You don't have to buy "their" battery which is almost $200. Almost if not all these "built-in" batteries are the same and can be purchased for $99 + free shipping at Massimo: https://www.massimomotor.com/Mass...tery-Black

I own 4 of these different sizes from different brands (DT-Pro with same LG compressor, Rock & Rocker, and Massimo from Costco). 2 of them came with included battery and the batteries have been super convenient at moving the coolers around at picnics. The one with the LG compressor has been running reliably for 4 years.

You do understand that the LG compressors listed in the class action are for LG full size refrigerators?

I've had a Setpower RV60D PRO 60qt similar to this form factor that has been running all yr non-stop in my truck when camping and in my garage.

bough this previously for my SUV when I go camping/ ofroading. It is heavy., no app to track temp. I kept on constantly hitting the button bar and adjusting the temp/ etc. it lasted about 4 ish hours with a battery in 85 degree weather about 17 hours on lowest setting when connected to my Jackery 300.
wheels are "meh, handle as well, tough to manuever.
I returned it and bought one with an app and no battery as Its always connected to my jackery or car 12v
PD did I mention its heavy?

It's very quiet, but you can still hear it if you are listening for it, if that makes sense.

There seem to be a lot of idiots who think that it makes a difference which LG compressor your unit has. Why would one be any different from the rest? U think they magically make more reliable small unit compressors than they do for their full size units? Lol

My father owns an appliance repair company and has always said to never buy LG or Samsung appliances. Yes, you might get lucky and get one that runs forever, but if not, you will wait months to get a replacement part at an exorbitant cost. Not worth the risk.
Primarily because big companies often outsource parts and badge them as their own. So it could source compressors from different companies:

Once it hits the set temp the compressor turns off. My 37 qt vevor I got from WalMart for $145 is not something I would sleep inside my car with but in the bed of my pick up runs fine. Also if you compare it to a diesel heater with the tick tick noise from the pump its definitly more quiet.

I'd pay +$60 for the wheels/ 2 seprate compartments fridge/freezer and the LG compressor if I needed a 2nd one. That being said the 37qt could probably last me a week off-grid. Pic. https://i.imgur.com/OdMH9Bp.jpg

I'm assuming one could run this off a GoalZero 400 power station, correct?

How long would it power this unit until the GoalZero 400 runs out of juice - assuming the cooler is the only thing plugged into it?

LG indeed makes some of the most reliable compressors made, just not their proprietary linear 'inverter' style compressor, which is only just above normal average for failure rates according to Yates, reddit and others. The compressors we are talking about here in these applications are the conventional non-linear design, as old as the hills and reliable. FWIW, LG now makes a 'conventional' but 'Smart Inverter' compressor that is non-linear (aka reliable) being used in their counter depth Max fridge lines.

I would expect about 18hr at ~85f ambient on that unit.

If you have a ~100w solar panel to pair with your GoalZero, and sun to feed it, I'd expect that combo to run forever.

there are removebable metal bins on all of these. I would take those out and put them in the locker unless you had ice cream then see if the whole thing fits.

Amazon ratings are adjusted. 4.1 is normally the lowest overall rating I recall seeing. My standard is to add the 4+5 star percentages then if the sum is >90% then I will consider going the next step which is to read the one (1) star comments. In conclusion, this is not a 4.1 star rated item.

For those of you warning about the LG compressor, it's WAY better than the Samsung compressor. This issue is for the full size home fridge BTW, not their travel compressor.. it's definitely not going to hold up like a dan frost, but for $200? I'm in for one. I have had two old school dometic 50q's for 14 some years. One finally completely died, this will work to replace it just fine.
