Yep. I am in the same boat. My 7 Pro has awful battery life but I want to stick with the brand. I'd do $349 out of pocket since the watch can be sold but $550 is nuts.
The other posts, namely @BJFish's and @joo3y's, don't aggregate all the trade-in values like this one does.
I am guessing the technicality is there because other users can't edit the posts they didn't make. I also didn't have privileges to make a wiki.

I had a Nexus device and there was a software bug that caused sound issues and it wasn't fixed for a month or two making it extremely difficult to hear during that time.
The 7 year updates to me is not something I would take seriously. It would be nice if they did do that and fixed issues quickly but history shows otherwise.
If I traded it in in-person at the store, would it be accepted?
I'm also running into this error message because the TIV is more than the price of the Pixel 8:
"Heads up! We're not able to continue with this trade-in because it has a higher value than the one you're buying. Please choose a different device to trade in or buy."
I will admit my pixel 7 seems smoother then my 23 ultra, but I only use my p7 for music and browsing.
