Although the Best Buy product listing reads "Save up to $1,140.00 when you trade in a similar device [archive.ph]" (screenshot [archive.org]), there is currently no trade-in value that high. When I collected the data from all 2816 eligible trade-in SKUs, the highest trade-in value was $950.00.

Can someone help me with trade in process. I tried to trade in pixel 7 pro with broken glass. When he scanned it showed up only 150$. 250$ extra promo didn't show up. I have asked why the promo is not applied and showed me the email confirmation. The rep said he can't help. I cancelled the order.

That's weird. Before I would put in the 11 and it would show $500 as an offer. Now it says $200 but like you said it changed to $500 once added to the cart. I guess it's still going on. Maybe that's what's happening to the others seeing the lowered amounts.

Fingerprint requirement for trade in depends on the state. In California, I was required to scan my fingerprint. In other states, such as Kentucky and Wisconsin, no fingerprint was needed (just ID).

Hopefully, this is not a trend. If so, Best Buy will have plenty of canceled orders over the next few days. Supposedly the trade-in values can change at any time despite what it said when you placed the order.

Yeah I was able to do it in store. The process is pretty straight forward when I mentioned I was trying to use the Pixel trade in promotion. I can see how the two phone trick would work too, I didn't have an eligible Android phone but the gimmick would be to trade in an Android and an iPhone and ask for the promotion on each separately. You'll get the two coupons printed out and 2 gift cards, then you just apply coupons first then gift cards when purchasing the phone + extras.

He's right getting a 1000 dollar phone at launch and a 350 dollar watch you can immediately sell for that and buy the new iPhone 15 pro max for well the extra 79 bucks is a dumb move. Especially since the 13 pro max is going to keep going down as it gets older. I traded my 13 pro max and already sold it and made 600 more than I would have had I just sold my 13 pro max

I really hate Apple and want to change for something else. But I cannot stay with the endless notifications and ads in the Android system. Also it always start installing something without your permission. Just feel like you are never the owner of your phone. Maybe it is because I don't know how to use it.

With due respect, I think your last statement is correct.
You have extensive control over notifications in Android, in some ways more than you do with iOS (for instance, you can allow an app to send you time-sensitive notifications but NOT marketing updates)
And you can decide whether or not to allow auto-updates.
