I have 3 of these on my desk since launch day. Fantastic to live 8-12 hours a day in front of.
Lower refresh rate.
Zero display ports.
Zero curve.
Not an ultrawide.
Not a monitor.

Recently I purchased an IPS Ultrawide, the LG34GN950-B for ~$950 after tax. Then I tried an AW3423DW. After trying the AW3423DW, and seeing IPS glow + dimmable zones of the IPS panel in dark scenes vs true-black on the OLED panel... It was a no brainer.
Ultrawide IPS returned, Ultrawide OLED purchased. Can't recommend avoiding a $900 IPS enough while OLEDs are available near the same price.

I did have an issue on a monitor with the anti reflective coating separating, which is a completely different issue (looks like the screen has bubbles or water marks in spots, most noticable when screen is off) but I got it replaced because of that

Glad you got it replaced, at the price it should be in flawless condition for whoever buys it new.
Absolutely love the monitor! Great for work during the day (with my macbook) and then I swap and use it for my gaming PC at night. Only downside is the one display port in... but I bought a cheap displayport switcher on amazon that works well enough.

It is cool that with your limited experience - you haven't noticed burn-in yet, but it is a literal fact that the O(rganic) in OLEDs degrade with use. They get dimmer with time. It is literally a byproduct of their function. Burn in occurs because some pixels get more use than others, thus degrading at different rates.
Modern OLED firmware does a lot to try and limit the degradation - but it happens nevertheless.
Meanwhile, something like this monitor will likely look the same in 10 years. Likely measurably dimmer than brand new, but uniform and definitely usable. I have a U3011 - IPS from 2011. Still very usable not no distracting artifacts or burn ins.
I own a 42" C2 and the LG variant of this monitor (38" IPS). I prefer to use my 38" for general purpose / productivity, and 42" for movies and console gaming. I didn't use my OLED as my main monitor as I didn't want to worry about changing my computer usage habits and babying the screen to minimize burn in.
