I'm not an expert, but all the youtube reviews rave about not only ego chainsaws, but the whole ego eco system which IMO is more important and why I pulled the trigger. HTH

Question - how would this do for large pine trees? I have a large piece of wooded property, and I'm thinking I probably just spend the money for good gas chainsaw despite having multiple EGO tools. Thoughts?

This would be good for medium size but large still needs gas

Are you talking about the 16" with 4.0Ah battery from a month ago? Because not only is it a different size chainsaw, and battery, it's also long dead. Thanks for your valuable contribution though. 💩

18 has more RPMs, a longer warranty (3 years compared to Woots 90 day), and more. No comparison.

Sorry, I looked at the battery wrong, but it's still a different chainsaw, and you're talking about an expired deal.

The 18" bar is really the only thing holding you back. I've had this for years now, and have yet to find something it can't handle. Keep the chain sharp, and it's great. Having a second sizeable battery is very helpful.

See the log in the picture? I have the 14 and it handles those pretty easily. Just cant put as much pressure. I cant remember the last time I pulled out my gas saw, probably couldn't get it to even start. No regerts.

Out east on palm beaches millionaire row they have noise ordinances and a lot of the landscaping equipment is battery powered. Pine trees are fine. Now try to use it on a coconut tree or something that's wet and fibrous and it won't work.
