YMMV

I was able to find the Wyze Plug Outdoor on clearance at my local Home Depot (Tigard OR) for $5. Seems like a better deal, especially if you already have Wyze products like myself and want the bonus energy monitoring. I picked up three yesterday and there were at least a few more left.

Trying to decide if it's worth it to wait for Black Friday deals on these.

$16 price on the outdoor plug is gone - now $19, but there was a $4 digital coupon, making the effective price $15, so even cheaper than the Prime Day deal...in for one

Outdoor plug doesn't have the $4 coupon for me.

Anyone else still seeing the coupon?

I own the outdoor plug. It sucks. Constantly stops responding and I have to unplug/plug to get it working again every 2-3 days. I would avoid.

3 years running strong here. Currently powering the halloween lights I've got going. It's the furthest from the router and still works great.

I run two of these kasa outlets for years, still going strong I've had to unplug them to reset things a couple times and still going strong.

Wyze outdoor plugs similar to this are on clearance for 5$ at Home Depot in the bulbs section. Bought 4 yesterday at the Pasadena, CA location. There were at least 30 left. It works with the Wyze app. I have many different others brands of smart plugs that work with the Smart Home app. But after initial set up, they all work with Google home and it's dedicated app which is what I use to control all my smart plugs.

I bought 10 while I was there, but am struggling to find a use for them. We have outlets outside already and am not currently using any of them. Initial thought was for holiday lighting/decorations, but I'm not sure if these would be best? Other thought was for HomeAssistant, but would need to figure out how to flash these with ESPHome and how/why that would help me....

what do you mean without the automation? You don't have to use any kind of automation if you don't want.

The outdoor plugs are fantastic. I've been using them in all weather for a few years with zero problems.

Me too. One of them is getting rained on daily here and still no issues. Mostly cause it's hanging down so no water goes in and it's out in the open to dry out.
