For the Gateway laptop, guess Microcenter was practicing advertising for the $300 price point a while back for the Indianapolis store opening:

I would go with the legion with the 4060. Much better gpu. Also ryzen cpun is more efficient even though the ryzen 5 cpu would be a little slower than i7-12 cpu

I am still a desktop person. I got a collection of 2011 cpus. But theses laptops nowadays are so powerful that unless you really doing some particular task, the laptop is perfectly fine. And as a bonus you can take it with you when you travel

None of these deals are correct. Just checked the hp and it was 599. The gateway was 499

I just picked the $299 Gateway in the Indy Microcenter. Deal is in-store only. Definitely legit deal.

Edit: The $299 laptop is 8GB RAM vs the 16 GB in the OP.
