With 4% cash back, that's under the spot

And for those that recently go the Capital One Venture X with 90K bonus, this is an easy way to meet the minimum spend.

Which is what all of these sales have been. ~$2/G above spot. However the executive 2% and credit card cash back bring it below spot.

Can someone please explain how these deals sell within minutes of them going up? How to Costco members know the deal even exists to buy it up so quickly? I know of no way to get an instantaneous alert of such deals. On Costco, you can't alert/list something that is no longer available. On here, you get the alert only as soon as a someone here is nice enough to post it and the push goes through.

It's usually on Costco's home page when in stock. But yes, SD seems to be the best way to be alerted to the deal.

It gets posted on the front page of costco. I noticed it at 9:05 am and this was posted 7 minutes later.

Does that mean if you want a deal like this, you have to constantly be monitoring the Costco front page? If so, that seems to be great for those with the time and dedication to just watch a web page all day.

i am in California . Lets say i buy from costco and later on sell it to jeweler on spot . spot price difference can be covered by card/ costco rewards but what to do with 7.75% sale tax .

There won't be CA sales tax on this because it's over $2K.
Keep in mind that your local jewelers will be paying you BELOW spot when you sell your gold. They are in the business to make money.

Quick Advice: Do NOT sell your bullion or coins to a jeweler. Wink
