I have this and it works fine. The problem you'll likely run into is you really need two saws when you are using this. One with this attached and the other to do the stuff that helps you get to the next sheet of material. Maybe you're more organized and have your cut list down and it won't be a problem.

I love this thing. Just plan on having a cut list because removing it and setting it up takes time

Sorry, DIY noob here - what's a "cut list"?

If you're serious about using this for more than one or two jobs, get a track saw. If you're using this for one or two jobs, rent a track saw.

With track saws being more available in terms of price, I don't think this is a compelling buy, especially if it's like people say in this thread, that you'd want another saw. (Might as well be a track saw)

Used this to cut up 3/4" plywood for some built-in shelves. Worked very well.

If your saw is square, is the cut with this as good as a track and table saw?

I bought one of these to make "man crates" for the Christmas season one year. I was cutting up 1/4" plywood. The first few cuts were fine, but then one of the adjustment/holding screws loosened. I ruined a quarter sheet before realizing what happened because the cuts were slightly off.

Since then i've used my jobsite table saw, or a track saw instead.

As long as you have a squared edge to run off of, I prefer this over using my table saw or track saw for repeated cuts on full sheets of plywood. I use a dedicated circ saw and leave the attachment on as it takes a bit of time to set up.

Any recommendations for a track saw? It has been on my list and with some upcoming cabinets it will be handy. However, I am not sure which features are important or not.

Works well for thicker plywood (3/4 and 1), but I tried it on some thinner stuff and it didn't work all that well even with the board supported. Decent, worthy, especially if the highest of accuracy is not required. I still prefer a table saw most times though.

Now, if only Dewalt would hurry up and release 7.25" XR circular saw for right handed people...
