Reviews online say it lasts around 14-16 minutes

I had placed an order for store pickup last night when the site showed 6 available at my local store.

Got an email this morning that my order is canceled b/c the item is out of stock. However the website is showing exactly 6 available for $8.99 delivery. I guess they've reserved their stock for those that are willing to pay for delivery.

FYI, I just bought and tested with the Makita batteries i have (so i don't have to buy Ryobi batteries with a cheap Makita->Ryobi adapter i got be4 off amazon) and it works.
Interesting, after I read your message, I checked Amazon and found out they also make adapters for Dewalt batteries, which is what I own, to use in Ryobi. How well do those battery adapters work? Ever run into problems with battery or adapter being loose in whatever tool you're using it in and losing connection? Ever have clearance problems where it doesn't fit well into a tool because the adapter makes the battery taller? Are those adapters worth buying?

Like others trying to decide between this and the new 3 gal. Use would be for cars mostly and maybe around the condo (have a dyson stick vac)

Pros of 3 gal:
foot longer hose
2 speeds
extra tool
slightly more power - don't know if it really makes a difference

Pros of the 1 gal
smaller and lighter

Might have to buy both to see the actual size difference. Not many video reviews about either of these yet. I have a small 3 gal ridgid that works great, but running that cord from the condo to the car is annoying enough that I don't use it as much as I'd like.

with the latest redesign, recommend getting the 3 gallon version since it has a smaller footprint than its predecessor. this 1 gallon one is a very small vac

also, for those who think this will be great for the car....it has a very very short hose. so maybe just for a quick clean up of a couple areas and that's it. just like the 3 gallon predecessor. you end up always stretching the hose to reach anything, and then it never goes back to original size and remains stretched (a common issue on the last one....which over time would lead to the hose breaking, and it's a proprietary hose). you can buy a wand extension, but with the already weak CFMs, they would take an even more of a hit.

note: this comes with 1 attachment.....crevice. you will need to buy others
5-foot hose is short? I have the older (last year) 3-gallon as well and have no issues with the hose returning to its original size. I use mine to vacuum a Tahoe and the hose length is more than adequate. As I was typing this I was wondering, it's a portable vacuum, why not just move the vacuum instead of over-stretching the hose? I picked up the 1 gallon as well. They kick ass!

Free shipping does not appear to be available (at least for me), but I was able to order the second to last one at my store for pickup.

Depends how many gallons worth of small debris you build up in your car… unless you mean you want to shampoo your interior and use this to extract liquid after cleaning… in which case you'd probably want the 3 gallon, however I've never pulled a gallon worth of dirt from any car I've vacuumed.
I vacuum at least once a week, if not more. I can deal with running an extension cord and getting the cord stuck between tires. But, if I can get an awesome battery powered one, I'd go that route.

I already have the 3 gal, so instead of getting the 1 gal, I got this one instead:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI...lsrc=aw.ds

Its only 23 cfm, half that of the 1 gal, but it is quiet and even more portable and versatile.

Hope you got it at a better price than the $119 Home Depot is currently asking for, which is more then double the 1 gal vac.

If corded works for you, then this stanley has 80 CFM compared to 45 CFM for the ryobi here. Same price, but 3Gal
