Interesting find, could be an online purchase that was returned to store and was put back on shelf?

Most stores hit 70% off 3 weeks ago. I mentioned it in a few ymmv threads around then including the post for the xbox seagate drive (https://slickdeals.net/f/16958203- ) At that time you could see check which stores had them in stock, but not many did. It's a huge ymmv now.

I was at my local Target store today and I saw one Seagate Game Drive 1TB NVMe SSD in the clear plastic security box. I was going to check the price but was too lazy. If I see it in a few days for $45, I will probably get it because I need one for my laptop. The prices of nvme ssd have dropped a lot, therefore, $45 for this gen 4 1tb ssd is about average.

Stupid question, I have seen a couple of these NVMe SSD's for PS5's recently; they'll work fine on a standard PC, correct? I would assume so.

But it's a top tier gen 4 SSD which are still usually listed for ~$100 for equivalent models and ~$60 on sale. $45 is a good deal especially with heatsink but too much of a YMMV

Yes, PS5 uses standard PC M.2 SSDs. This one is just a rebranded Firecuda 530. But note that it comes with the heatsink pre-installed, which may not fit in all PCs. However, it can be removed if needed.

Cool deal, thanks for confirming! I assumed as much but was not sure so I have passed up on a couple of these 'PS5' drives.

Honestly it is actually cool many consoles are starting to go back to PC standard components..

Good Gen 4 1 TB SSDs have been on sale for $50 so if there's no brickseek data it's not worth jumping from store to store finding it.

As I mentioned in my post, BS doesn't have any data on this item. They do have a record of it, but no pricing, inventory, or store data – "No results found". That's why I didn't include the link. When I checked out at the register, the item wouldn't even ring up. An associate had to override it.

Since my local Target store is only 2 miles away, I went back there and bought the Seagate Game Drive 1TB NVMe SSD for $45. Now I will remove the heatsink in order to use it in my Dell Latitude 7480 laptop.

My local Target store has a lot of Electronic items on clearance for up to 70% off. I also bought the Belkin Wireless Charging Pad 15W for $12 (regular price was $40). I tested the wireless charging with my iphones and Galaxy Note phones with Otterbox cases and the charging worked. Another good buy was the Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1) on clearance at Target for $14.99 a few days ago. The original price was $49.99.

I'm glad to hear my post helped you get the deal. I have benefited many times from these ymmv and clearance posts, and I really appreciate that people take the time to post them, so I figured I would do the same. It's unfortunate that SD users often downvote these types of posts simply because they couldn't get the deal. I took extra care to make it clear that it's ymmv and in store only/clearance, but they downvote anyway. It's as if they believe if they can't get the deal, no one should. I don't get it.

No go in Knightdale NC, other than some USB Wifi dongles no computer or video game related clearance. Still appreciate the post of course!

LOTS and LOTS of Otterbox cases though. (no idea for what phones).
