Picked 3 of these up at this price (less the Amex credit) mid October. I've been extremely impressed with the quality at the price.

The only suboptimal things are that they ship with an HDMI cable rather than DP and the stand, while adjustable, doesn't have as much flexibility as I'm used to.

Will probably pick up one or two more.

As in a power brick, monitor has a C13 power connector, so power supply is built into the monitor

Ra kuten was 4% for Dell monitors when I ordered 2 days ago, but ended up getting only 1%.

I have a acer desktop with a 11th generation i3, and Intel UHD 630 graphics. It works fine, even at the highest resolution. If it works for me on my older hardware, it will work for you.

If I need 4 of these Amex has a $120 statement credit with 599 spent at Dell. 120 a pop isn't bad. I could use 2 for work, I wonder if my kids want 1 each? Not sure I could use this on my gaming pc tho

What's the difference between this and the Dell S2721DS they also have on sale for $179?

I'll be using it for remote accounting work largely utilizing excel spreadsheets.

OK. This message is written on the new SE2723DS. I can confirm that the new monitor is bright and fresh. I can feel the refresh rate change from 30Hz to 75Hz and from 60Hz to 75Hz. All of that is great.

But. The clarity of text in the natural resolution is, hmm... not the greatest. I might be put up with this and even not notice. However, I have my old 4k (S2721QS) monitor side by side.

I use the same resolution (2560x1440) on 4k monitors and I can't see pixels or rasterization on them. But it is clearly visible on QHD SE2723DS.

So, no. I will be returning both new SE2723DS back. Frown

It is hard to show. When I take pictures - the differences are minimal. The width of symbol strokes is different sometimes.

In reality, on my 4k display - the characters are the same. It's almost like they are printed on paper.

On the SE2723DS - characters don't have sharp edges. They are blurred a little.

I don't think it is a huge problem. But I spend 50 hours a week editing code. And knowing the text could look better will make me regret it.

You're running your 4k at reduced resolution, which is going to impact your perception of pixels. You can run cleartext, or some aftermarket cleartext-style programs to resolve this problem with the Dell monitor. Bettercleartype or mactype will help. From experience working with a LOT of monitors over the years, you will naturally adjust to small variations in how text is perceived. Try the software and see where it gets you.
