I'm too tired to think this out, so what is the minimal buy-and-get-out with a phone on this?

Can you confirm that the pay off price will be $36? Usually on device payment plans you get a monthly credit and have to pay off the remaining retail balance to cancel. I don't see a monthly credit so I'm guessing this might be different but wanted to double check first.

Why would you pay for 60 days service and activation... instead of 3 days and no activation?

Unlocking happens either way in 60 days.

I will be the first to admit, I am not 100% sure on all this. However, I think that you should be allowed to pay in-store in cash same day. If not try a different corporate store. If you still get resistance, asked to speak with a manager. From what I remember, some Verizon stores are quite aware of what's going on, and sometimes will make it difficult for people to pay in in the store with the cash the same day or the next day like in this instance, best of luck report back what happens
I activated phone then cancelled line via chat, went to store was told balance showed as 0 and that I had to wait until I get a bill for it.

Fearing I will be charged full price of phone, will probably just return. Will call billing dept tomorrow to see what's up.

Understood. Again, not 100% sure. I have not participated. But from what I read. I think the steps are to pay off. In the store with cash. And then cancel.

Tell them you want to pay down. Say you were paying with cash. Let them know that your talked to the representative and they said that the store will be able to take a payment. Don't take no for an answer. Push back firmly, but politely . asked to speak with a manager if needed.

So I was able to call online and CSR was able to create a Buyout request and send me to the payment automated system but my phone got disconnected.

However, I was able to cancel the line over the phone and now it shows the final bill as 44$ ( 35 for the phone + rest for the phone uses)

Installment loan agreement shows $36 for retail price. Don't be panic

I'm upgrading my dad's phone which I do not have in front of me and Walmart wants to send a W verification code. Will that line is going to get it or my primary one?

i seriously do not understand these types of question.
comparing a phone released in 2022 to one released 8 years ago.
mind boggling

Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge during the first Samsung Unpacked 2015 event at Mobile World Congress on 1 March 2015, for a release on 10 April 2015 in 20 countries.

Availability. Galaxy A53 5G will start at $449.99, and be available on March 31, 2022 at T-Mobile and Verizon, as well as AT&T, Samsung.com and other retail and carrier partners beginning April 1, 2022. Pre-orders for Galaxy A53 5G start today, March 17 through March 31, 2022 on Samsung.com.
It's okay. i don't blame you. its just that ive only been on the apple ecosystem and know even if they release newer iphones like the se 3rd gens, the internals are trash compared to iphones that were released years ago. thanks for your reply

Whether you opened a new line or added additional line?

You need to register for a new account with verizon. It will ask for phone number zip code and pin which you created on the walmart website. Once these details are entered you'll be sent a PIN to the phone which you have to enter to complete the registration process
problem is the phone cannot be activated. on phone with CS for 1.5hrs, still can't resolve it.

Walmart has problem passing info to verizon. A few months ago, people can't activate iphone 13 mini purchased from walmart with verizon device payment plan, but phone can be unlocked by ATT trick. People ended up getting iphone 13 mini for free.

Nothing is free from Verizon. They will send your DPP to collection agencies when DPP fails to attach to your Verizon account. They are too lazy to fix and attach it to your account unless you call them. May take many phone calls as most reps are clueless. Basically they have to look up the credit application ID on the DPP to attach it to your account, and only the CORE (credit application team) reps can do this. They may also ask you to email them your driver's license, most recent utilities bill, credit card bill, etc. for identity verification. Happened to many people in the past, including those deals from Best Buy, where they thought they got free devices from Verizon and later received collection letters many months later.
