I almost leaned toward AW3821DW, but since it's my first Ultrawide I felt I'm just gonna try OLED. I bought the BB Plus for $49.99 and then bought this monitor for $799.99. HOWEVER, to offset the cost of the Plus Membership, you can get the $50 certificate in October for BB Plus and Total Plus members if spend $500 or more this month. So kind of effectively saving membership cost. - Membership $50 Certificate Expired

I also used my Chase Paypal for the 5% cashback. Hope this helps anyone deciding.

There was Geek Squad 4 year replacement that costed $120.00 in my checkout if interested. Wasn't the $150 I expected.

UPDATE: Dell also has this on their website for $800. But if you have BB membership, you can get $50 gift card if spend $500 or more till end of October. - Membership $50 Certificate Expired

Tried it. Awesome OLED monitor, but coming from a 32" inch 16:9 … I felt it gave up too much height. I personally wasn't ready for that ultrawide leap
Bh and dell had this price recently. So unless you want to get the best buy membership this isn't too hot.
Yes, the FreeSync model (DWF) is the one that can receive firmware updates.

Ah sorry I didn't really clarify. What you can do is pay for the membership first, since that's the way to get hte price to reflect $799.99. For the membership $49.99 I paid with my credit card, I don't think I saw an option for Paypal. Then when purchasing monitor I paid with Paypal and my Chase Freedom card (which showed 5% cash back in my Chase acct). Hope this helps.
This is incorrect. The price is $799.99 for everyone. It's the same price on Dell.com right now too.

Great deal. Really looking to cost cut for my 3080 Ti + 12700K build. I'm hoping I can find the AW3420DW (2020 34" ultrawide non-OLED version of this monitor) for $400 or under, used. Saw for $400 once on FB marketplace but it was snatched up quick.

Alternatively, instead of the 34" ultrawide, I would consider a single 32" monitor at high refresh (1440p and 144hz minimum), if people recommend it. I have a 27" right now.

I am nervous that connecting a Nintendo switch dock to a 34" ultrawide will look awful, for the occasional time I want to use the switch or another console on my PC desk. I feel a 27" or 32" at a normal resolution would look better.

Being thinking the same thing. This or wait for 38' OLED

Yeah unfortunately the perfect oled monitor doesn't seem to quite exist yet. I think 34 or 38 is sweet spot. I ultimately went with lg c3 42inch. This way I could connect my ps5 as well and productivity usage is still good. The ps5 wouldn't look great on this ultrawide and I didn't like the thought of black bars on the sides for non ultra wide content … seemed very wasteful. That said, if primary use case is ultrawide pc gaming and you want oled (which is incredible) … you'll love this monitor and price. If you don't care about oled … there's plenty of better IPS options out there.

One thing to mention is that, 3 year burn in is only offered if you buy directly from Dell. Great Deal but just something to be wary off.

Thanks for linking but this is a VA panel. I'll look for alternatives and read more comments about 32" vs. 34" ultrawide. My understanding is that 32" is always reduced quality when 1440p compared to 27" because you're expanding out the view another 5" diagonal. 27" is always crisper/sharper images.

Would this be an upgrade from the lg 34 inch nanoips? I'm thinking 38 inch is the sweet spot as I'd like something slightly bigger, but no OLED exists currently, and I love my oled C1

No problem. I guess the other question I had was if you were to pay for the BB membership only, first, then will you still be able to get the $50 credit? My research seems to imply to should purchase approximately $500+ along with the BB Plus membership in order to get the $50 credit. Then again, feels like I am force to buy something else in the future with that $50 credit. LOL

Thanks for this info. I checked the questions section on BB and got two different answers. One said not covered from burn-in and the other (posted 2 months previously) said it is covered. Not that I don't trust you, but can anyone confirm this?

Buying from Dell and pay with Paypal does credit you approximately $40+ if paid with Chase Freedom (5% quarterly category), but the convenience of going into a BB seems easier and quicker.

LOL, you didn't say anything about a preferred panel type. So you're looking for an IPS then?
And... a 32" ultrawide is in no way reduced quality when compared to 27". Expanding out horizontally just means there are more pixels and more viewable picture. If your computer can't handle the additional pixels, that would mean reduced quality, but the DPI should be the same. If you take ultrawide out of the equation, the 27" will be crisper.

This would definitely be an upgrade graphics wise. OLED is a game changer. I bought this monitor and absolutely love it. That being said I purchased the 34" LG Nano IPS as well and that is also a beautiful monitor for gaming and productivity. Can't go wrong with either but the OLED is considered king.
