Alternatively, instead of the 34" ultrawide, I would consider a single 32" monitor at high refresh (1440p and 144hz minimum), if people recommend it. I have a 27" right now.
I am nervous that connecting a Nintendo switch dock to a 34" ultrawide will look awful, for the occasional time I want to use the switch or another console on my PC desk. I feel a 27" or 32" at a normal resolution would look better.
Yeah unfortunately the perfect oled monitor doesn't seem to quite exist yet. I think 34 or 38 is sweet spot. I ultimately went with lg c3 42inch. This way I could connect my ps5 as well and productivity usage is still good. The ps5 wouldn't look great on this ultrawide and I didn't like the thought of black bars on the sides for non ultra wide content … seemed very wasteful. That said, if primary use case is ultrawide pc gaming and you want oled (which is incredible) … you'll love this monitor and price. If you don't care about oled … there's plenty of better IPS options out there.

Would this be an upgrade from the lg 34 inch nanoips? I'm thinking 38 inch is the sweet spot as I'd like something slightly bigger, but no OLED exists currently, and I love my oled C1
Finally, someone said it. I don't want another subscription either!
Buying from Dell and pay with Paypal does credit you approximately $40+ if paid with Chase Freedom (5% quarterly category), but the convenience of going into a BB seems easier and quicker.
And... a 32" ultrawide is in no way reduced quality when compared to 27". Expanding out horizontally just means there are more pixels and more viewable picture. If your computer can't handle the additional pixels, that would mean reduced quality, but the DPI should be the same. If you take ultrawide out of the equation, the 27" will be crisper.
This would definitely be an upgrade graphics wise. OLED is a game changer. I bought this monitor and absolutely love it. That being said I purchased the 34" LG Nano IPS as well and that is also a beautiful monitor for gaming and productivity. Can't go wrong with either but the OLED is considered king.
