Mine works just fine. The stainless steel was the selling point for me over Ninja. I'd rather not have Teflon in my food.

I own two Instant Pots and use them all the time. Most of these "functionalities" are redundant since the Pressure Cook "Manual" button is really all you need. I usually use tried and tested recipes from https://www.pressurecookrecipes.com/

Way off base. Stainless is far superior to the no stick versions. I've had mine for 6 years and use the $#%€ out of it. Still works flawlessly.

The x in one stuff is marketing. Would you buy a shiny new iphone 4 just because it was cheap? $60 is a good price but this pot is obsolete by 13 years. The evolution to Pro was the result of customer f.b. and combining the innovations of MAX and Ultra with ++evo inner pot ++, higher power, next gen processor control board, precise temperature control and the evo lid with slider steam release. It's not about performing additional functions for us as much as achieving better results faster with less effort, less time to the table and avoiding steam burns.

Compared to previous models the evo pop-up valve works better. The pressure regulator weight, sensors and processor work together to prevent steam release and water consumption during p.c. The steam diffuser is a welcome feature.

Stew: brown and saute on the stove, add liquids, bring to boil rapidly, transfer hot to i.p. for p.c. with no fear of dropping, switch to simmer and open valve slow cook to tenderize and concentrate flavors, remove with no gloves to stove, add delicate veggies herbs, back to i.p.for keep warm.

Evo also makes fall off the bone tender drumsticks.

Great price and see through lid is a nice touch. I have an IP 6 qt I bought at Target a few months ago for $90 (same bundle but non-see through lid). Mostly, I use it for HB eggs (2 doz at a time), pulled pork and bone broth. The SS pot is a pain to clean; I may get a non-stick pot as a supplement.

The parent company is reorganizing. Lower sales due to multiple competitors in their space hurt them. Doubt they are going away anytime soon, though.
