I have 3 of this. Exact same one from previous same price $24 deals from last year. IT IS SUPERB quality item. I am using 2 of these in 1 desk as I wanted 2 laptops tray (this item has 1 tray in 1 box but I needed 2 trays) so my 2 laptops connect to 1 x 27in LG 4K monitor. This can directly fit any desks and very sturdy and very good quality. Each box comes with 1 pole, 2 arms and 1 laptop tray. I used two quantity of this item so I get 2 poles. One pole is center of Ikea gaming desk and holding the monitor and 1 laptop tray (to the right of monitor where monitor ends) and another pole I drilled hole in Ikea desk on the left side so my another laptop can sit on its tray. So when I work, I have montior in the middle and 2 laptops floating in both ends of monitor. I use KVM switch to swap the display between 2 laptops. The box is very heavy to lift and move around. I drilled hole in my Ikea gaming desk (if you know it has small height from the main desk) and it is perfect since then. Go for it. $24 well spent. If anyone needs pic, let me know. This is a little off-topic because you are switching your displayto either laptop, but an enhancement to the control of 2 laptops via 1 keyboard & 1 mouse is software like Synergy[symless.com]. It lets you move your mouse across the monitor and to the other laptop via the network and KB/mouse emulation. It works on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Yes. The two arms come with VESA mount ends. The laptop tray just attaches to one of the VESA mounts. You can elect not to do that and use it to mount 2 monitors, although they will never be at the same level because of the way it mounts on the arm. However, if you want one portrait monitor and one landscape, it works perfectly.

I got the "TechOrbits Universal Desk Mount for Triple Monitor - Fits Three 13-30" Monitors with Swivel & Clamp" $40 last month deal but still in box and unsure how to make it work for me. I am ready to get additional monitors but do not know which software or hardware to get to display all laptops display but use one keyboard and mouse.

I see that Synergy has moved to a paid version a while ago, however I am still using an old free version on Windows 7 and 10. Don't worry though. Because it was developed as free software under GPL, the source code is still available and legally you can use the binaries here[github.com] without paying anything. You just don't get any support and there might be minor features only available in the paid version.
You will need to get whatever hardware you need to output onto those 3 monitors from the laptops you want. Synergy just allows you to connect multiple computers (each with multiple monitors) together and then express how they are laid out in the software. Once setup, you can move your mouse seamlessly amongst all the monitors and your keyboard input follows. Your clipboard is also copied to the other computer on transitions.
