With that aside, it's still not a good table overall as people will think they can mount their standard 1617 base in, and get routing. That's the worst "lift" system I've ever seen.
I will say this, their aluminum insert plate is easy to flatten, and would be great in a DIY Router table. Plus, you can find them <$40 on occassion, and only spend 30mins flattening it on a piece of glass with sandpaper mounted to it.
I'm still amazed people aren't making their own router tables. It's one of the easiest things to do. You can make it as simple, or as complexed as you want. I use many, many routers, for nearly everything... so I like complexed. Lol. But it is all up to you. But if you want precision, and to do more than some round overs, you'll want to skip all the Bosch Router Tables.

Hey bud, can you share a link to a video for a diy router table that you'd recommend building? I have a nice Bosch router, but never it because I don't have a table for it. Also a link for a good router plate would be appreciated. Ty!
