The A90J is a Master Class OLED from 2021. If I'm going for pure picture quality, motion handling, and upscaling, I'm going with the A90J. I'll think it over, and see if I want to get it for my basement setup.

Enough stock for a holiday sale blowout, 2 years later? Guess the Sony tax is real, and not paying.

I would still get this over current gen LG/Samsung if not for gaming, and not for a Florida condo with wall of glass facing west. Anyone else, you won't be disappointed

i only use streaming apps (youtube tv/netflix/disney plus etc). i don't think i'd frequently change tv settings
Don't forget that Sony uses Google TV as it's operating system so you would not need to use the box anymore.

If you want the most purist image with no processing or high contrast mode for a movie theater setup this if better if you're going for punchy over saturated colors or in a brighter room the Samsung if better
I couldn't agree more. My wife and I had the A80J 65" in our living room, and we constantly had to close the curtains to enjoy it during the day. We bought the S95B 65" earlier in the year, and we're able to enjoy it in our living room with the curtains open. The A80J was repurposed to our bedroom because it was so dim. I'm curious how the A90J performs in bright rooms.

I noticed the same at Best Buy. The A80J looked fine but they had the remote laying around and I took it out of Vivid mode and the screen got so dim. Crossed it off my Oled list and got a G1 instead.

Smart choice! We originally bought the A8H OLED which we absolutely adored until it started developing a rectangle in the middle of the screen. Sony swapped it with a refurbished A8H, and that replacement started developing dark circles throughout the screen. I contacted Sony again, and they offered the A80J as a replacement due to stock availability.

I never liked the A80J due to its semi-gloss screen. The A8H looked so much better with the glossy screen. The A80J has less than 1,000 hours on it after two years so I wonder if I could sell it locally and upgrade to the A90J. Lastly, if I had the A80J 77" with the glossy screen, I'd have a different perspective about it.

Just buy a LG G series and you'll have 5 years from the factory.

What does "local time" mean, is it based on where you want to deliver the television?

Yeah... but years 2 thru 5 only cover the panel, and not labor or any other parts.

I had the 55A80J and agree on it being dim, I couldn't get past how dim it was even in a dark room it was dim to me and returned it.

When this sale goes live the Walmart/Allstate Protection option should show on the item page. Generally, in this price range, it's usually $104(4 yrs) or $129(5 yrs), but like Costco, burn-in is not covered.

No idea. I'd have to check comps and see what they're going for. If I didn't sell, I'd see if a family member needed a TV.
