I received iPhone 13 today from walmart..
After inserting the SIM card and activating it, I chatted with Verizon.
The first agent refused the payoff and said it would be possible in 14 days.
The second agent sent me the URL right away and I paid $299.
Then I cancel line. I need 60days for unlock.

I tried to do it with an iPhone 14 in walmart.com when I saw this deal. It asked me to login to my Verizon (I'm with vzn), and asked for permission to pull credit. I declined. I think anything with a payment plan will need a credit check.

Though this is 36 months contract , but once you activate the line, you can pay off it via chat rep or in cash in verizon store . Once phone is paid , you can cancel the line with in 3 days to avoid activation / upgrade fees. Wait for 60 days to unlock the device.

THIS IS NOT MONTHLY CREDITS. AMOUNT FINANCED will be $299 or $99 , depends which phone you select.

Just for clarification, after I pay off the phone, deactivate, and wait for the unlock period I can then just put my current SIM card from Mint Mobile (T-Mobile) in and use the phone as intended?
If you didn't put the Verizon sim that came in the box, in the phone, and followed the instructions for AT&T unlock... there is no "unlock period". The phone can be unlocked using AT&T Sim hack in about 5 minutes after opening the box.

I literally just placed order. I chose an area code when placing order and saved phone number from the mobile contact box. Not sure if this is the number but I cant link it to an account yet. I get an error "We can't complete your request right now...."

Wondering if I just need to give it some more time... I dont think I will get phone in time to waive activation fee
I believe you have to wait when your phone is shipped.

If i'm not a VZW wireless customer, but am a home internet customer, do I need to create a new account? Will this also mess up my account for adding a new line and then cancelling? I just want the phone and want to unlock it as soon as I can.

I am currently on AT&T for wireless, but much rather not add an extra line and pay activation fee.

From what I read on the front page under Verizon, yes you can. Buy the cheapest AT&T prepaid SIM from Wal-Mart/Target.

Do you have a burner email account? I would just make a completely new VZW acct if possible so there isn't any history tied to it moving forward unless they require SSN or require other info that won't allow you to make multiple accts.

My phone I received my phone today and got it unlocked with the AT&T sim trick. The Apple coverage says it is expired. I called Apple support and they claimed there was nothing they could do about it, that it had originally been activated 300+ days ago and to call Walmart about it.
I called Apple support again and this time told them that when checking my coverage on checkcoverage.apple.com I was told that I needed to call them to update the product's date of purchase. Initial rep had to transfer me to another rep. I had to email them my proof of purchase and they were able to add the 1 year warranty.

For ATT cancel line without talking with a human:
1. write down your account number. Call *7678 from your ATT number to get the transfer pin.
2. Use your just unlocked iPhone 13 esim to activate a free trial at US Mobile to transfer your number. https://www.usmobile.com/get-started
3. After you submit transfer request, check your ATT phone message, it will ask you reply some number to confirm the transfer. After that, resubmit your transfer request again.

That's the only thing I can think of

My Verizon phone has been now delayed from today, 11/11 to 11/14. Ugh! I finally was able to create an account and added my cc to autopay. Called the Verizon number and went through the bot to pay off device. It says I have no balance. Have they caught on and not letting us pay off now or is it too early for me? Can I go ahead and cancel service before paying off phone?

Apple must fix this. Supply them your Walmart receipt. They can then adjust the 1yr warranty on the phone. I've done this with open box purchases from Best Buy. Sent Apple receipt and it may have taken a few calls to get a non-useless person but you can get it done.
