I received iPhone 13 today from walmart..
After inserting the SIM card and activating it, I chatted with Verizon.
The first agent refused the payoff and said it would be possible in 14 days.
The second agent sent me the URL right away and I paid $299.
Then I cancel line. I need 60days for unlock.

I tried to do it with an iPhone 14 in walmart.com when I saw this deal. It asked me to login to my Verizon (I'm with vzn), and asked for permission to pull credit. I declined. I think anything with a payment plan will need a credit check.

Though this is 36 months contract , but once you activate the line, you can pay off it via chat rep or in cash in verizon store . Once phone is paid , you can cancel the line with in 3 days to avoid activation / upgrade fees. Wait for 60 days to unlock the device.

THIS IS NOT MONTHLY CREDITS. AMOUNT FINANCED will be $299 or $99 , depends which phone you select.

I am afraid your Walmart sold iphone13 will not unlock after 60 days if it is not turn on with a Verizon sim card in it to lock it to Verizon. You can instead use the AT&T trick to unlock it now...
If you don't mind, can you tell me AT&T unlock trick! I don't have AT&T or AT&T sim (device payment appears on my Verizon acct) ....
I've already received the phone but hasn't opened it yet

Device paid off, and then I disconnected the line. Phone is still being shipped. Did anyone else loose access to their Verizon wireless account? I Can't login anymore.

Please check the wiki of main post. $1 H20 SIM from target works.

This is weird as I think it saying it's locked to T-Mobile. Below is what is displayed:
Carrier: US T-Mobile(Sprint/MVNO) Locked
I think your old H2O sim card is T-Mobile network. Bad news is they are one of the hardest to unlock.

Can you do att trick before paying off Verizon phone? I am on postpaid vzw and can't payoff via both (sends me generic chat link)
Yes. This is what I did:
1. Set up a new Verizon account with the phone number.
2. Att trick to unlock the device. Took about 5 mins.
3. Pay off the device via BOT.
4. Cancel the service via chat.

I doubt. If the phone's original lock policy is US Reseller Flex Policy as it is supposed to be, it will lock to the first sim it was activate on. If his old H2O sim card is T-Mobile network, it will not show unsupported, instead it will support it and lock to it.

I feel like I missed a step or two in this order.
  1. Do not have a previous account with AT&T and Verizon, just current T-Mobile family account.
  2. Ordered the 128GB Verizon with their cheapest plan and created a new Verizon account.
  3. Signed some Verizon agreements and paid only local taxes via Walmart.
  4. Received Walmart confirmation e-mail of my order, with phone due to arrive by Friday 11/17
  5. Waited for some confirmation e-mail from Verizon, and have nothing.
  6. Signed into my Verizon account and it is asking me for A) Verizon phone number or B) Account number. Since have neither, I skipped this step and now I have nothing to work with just an empty Verizon home screen.
  7. Called up Verizon customer care and was told I have to activate the phone before my account is visible to me.

How is everyone able to pay off their phone before receiving it? I'm assuming that you already have an existing AT&T or Verizon account when you purchased your respective phone? Or did I miss a step or two in the above process?

Thank you in advance.

Thanks for quick replies.
I did a quick research, so Walmart sold phone (current deal) has US reseller flex policy, meaning it will be locked to the carrier of first sim inserted upon first boot up .... In that case (for example) I can just give the phone to someone with AT&T sim then s/he will be able to use the phone (locked to AT&T) while I pay off on my Verizon acct, correct?
If it is true then same thing applied to using outside US?

As I said before I am planning on giving away the phones so whoever use the phone can use with their sim (even if it locked to that carrier) I am okay with that ...
my research shows it might not work for outside US (unless it is activated in US then unlocked from whatever carrier it activated with) am I correct about that info?

You may not want to actually use it on AT&T with an active ATT sim and follow the AT&T unlock policy (takes 60 days). I would suggest you use an inactive AT&T sim to trick the system, and request unlock as a non AT&T user to unlock it NOW. No matter which route you take, the phone will work outside US after unlock.

Do you need to pay off after receiving the device? I just activated the account using the phone number and it won't let me pay off

Which verizon plan are you guys selecting? I ordering now and delivery date is showing 20th Nov. Is it like this for everyone?
The cheapest one which should be $75 minus $10 if using auto pay.

I think that exactly what it did. Locked to T-Mobile network, but H20 now is no longer on T-Mobile network, thus unsupported.

Got my 2 phones with Verizon, but so scare to put an AT&T sim in :|
Should I risk it to get it unlock 60 days earlier while I will use my phone on Verizon network anyway =) ?
