Nice deal, but I'm waiting for a deal on the regular Ultra. This LT is the cheaper version that lacks Dolby support.

Same processor and same ram in Ultra and Ultra LT. Less features and downgraded remote for sure.

but for anyone concerned if it is discontinued or unsupported, it's still a "current" model:

"Roku is currently manufacturing these products and they are fully supported."

Roku Ultra LT appears to be Walmart specific - this may not include the pro version of the remote that includes the remote finder feature.

Genuine question: those who own Roku units, are you still randomly seeing the purple HDCP error message despite having a quality hdmi cable?

I was a Roku household and upto a year or so ago got those random hdmi HDCP messages. I did all the firmware upgrades but it was of no help.
I also upgraded my TVs firmware as well.
I remember having the same issue when I installed my Ultra. It was fixed by connecting the AVR directly to the tv, and then also connecting the Ultra to the tv.

does this have bluetooth? really need it for quiet TV at night.
(edited)

It has Bluetooth, you can pair bluetooth earphones.
In addition, the remote has earphone plug, and package comes with a set of wired earbuds.

FYI Roku has the ultra 4k on sale direct from them for 30 off. Making it 69.99 for a new box.

Check out the Roku site, I just bought an ultra for 69.99 under the offers tab on my streaming stick.

Apparently this model supports Dolby Atmos passthrough so it can be used with receivers or soundbars that support DA: https://www.reddit.com/r/Roku/comments/17qzlcr/.

I will try to confirm this myself later as I just obtained one.

Update: Unable to confirm as my TV can't decode Dolby Atmos. Someone else has confirmed that their DA supported receiver worked as expected.

Doesn't Ultra, not Ultra LT have Dolby Atmos? I swear Roku needs to update their naming conventions!

I'm not seeing the $30 off the Ultra at the Roku site. Link, please?

Try doing a full factory reset of the Roku, it helped a lot for me. Since the recent update, my Roku needed almost daily reboots. But, since I performed the factory reset, it so far has not locked up on me for the past 2 weeks.

I will give this a try. Thanks for the info

This is not my experience. I have a Roku 2, the original Roku Ultra and a Hisense Roku 4K TV. The Ultra occasionally requires a reboot, but I rarely have to unplug it. I use them every day.

Then our experiences match. I did not have the issue on the old Roku 2, the old Roku 3, the original Ultra or the original 4k.
I had upgraded to the latest Ultra-LT units, due to wanting some of the newer features..like bringing some of the units to 4k and getting Dolby Vision.... and the issue began to appear.

I regret mine but not enough to return...I should have done more research. I got this primarily for the network port...only to find out that it's just Fast Ethernet and not gigabit. I have faster wifi than that so it ended up being a downgrade in speed. Decided to use it for our bedroom tv instead.

Let me guess..it is freezing and glitching...and you have decided it is due to insufficient bandwidth in the 100 MB?
Would this...by any chance...be an issue with Plex?
If so.....no...that is not it at all. it is the glitching that I was speaking about earlier.
