yea people dont realize the FE series is a powerful phone, way better than the A5x series samsung phones. An dthe trade in value for the FE phone stays strong even 2-3 years later.

you don't need 180 days service, only pay it for the order, 180 days later after activation, you will be able to get unlocked...

I actually like all the moto phones I've had, but the updates or lack thereof keeps me away

Question about the unlock after 180 days: do I or better the phone to be in the USA with the sim inserted for this to happen or can I take the phone oversees and the unlock will still happen after 180 days?
Here's Metro Unlocking Policy: https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...ock-policy .
This morning I unlocked my Metro Samsung A54 (actiivated 180 days ago) by connecting it to WiFi and using the Network Unlock option in Settings. Took just a few seconds. My thinking is that as long as your WiFi service overseas doesn't block the phone from going to the Metro Unlock site, then it shoudl work. I didn't get charged one. I had a pre approval ACP code though dunno if that had something to do with it. Total was 113 out the door. 50 phone, 53 tax on retail, 10 for 1st month of the $40 plan. Ported in from Boost (AT&T). Shockingly they didn't try and sell me anything else either which is a first for me. Was actually significantly less than I anticipated.

Called a local metro store, they have 1 in stock. But the total will be $240 with first month and tax even with port in. Not worth it
Why bother calling? Stores have markup

Can it be unlocked after 6 months if the phone is overseas with no SIM card?

I'm planning on sending it to a friend right away and he will use on WiFi and wait 6 months for unlock.

Oops sorry someone asked the same question.

Just got one from store using the port in option. $128 with tax and first month plan. They charged tax only on the device cost $49.99. However they are still working on the port in things as ported from google voice and they are still figuring it out. They said my account info does not match .. not sure what that means .. ymmv

Each SIM can have one phone number, two SIMs (one pSIM and one eSIM) all have each phone number

how did you only pay $10 for the first month of the $40 plan? sounds like a great deal since you can just pay for the first month and it'll only cost $10

The monthly plan costs $40, but ruggy1 has Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) Benefit which gives $30/month toward cellphone or Internet service.

You usually have to opt in to autopay but doesn't hurt to check after u activate the line. If it is on auto pay just shut it off
