black friday is weeks away, this is pci4 only if it matters to you. probably 7 doubled+2+1 power isnt bad though
That's good info for future proofing but as long as your card is 16 lanes you're likely good. 4090 barely bottlenecks on pcie 3.0. For lower teir cards like 4060 and likely 5060 etc this will make an impact though because they only use 8 lanes.

Useful to note if you eventually start hoarding nvme drives the extra overhead and being able to lane split to 8x1x1x1 would allow you to use a $30 adapter vs a $130 one
I have the Intel version and love it. Plenty of BIOS updates as time goes on. The intel variant has extra features like more sata and m.2, but giving a thumbs up for their LiveMixer series.

Not since last year when everything was working. My point was constant BIOS updates being put out by the mfg. shows continued and ongoing support.
Ok, was just making sure because it generally recommended to not upgrade unless your having issues, cpu compatibility or the rare times mobo manufacturers recommend a big security/performance bios upgrade.

I've always felt that this recommendation is just butt covering. Bios updates tend to improve more than just functionality and I tend to keep my bios up to date.

Can you name anyone respected in the tech field who recommends to constantly flash bios?

Also the board comes with 23 USB ports! Wow! There's something I could get behind.
(8 of these require a USB header to somewhere in your case)
This will be great for your next build that DOESN'T include a glass side panel!

Wow, didn't even notice the usb ports! I second the "something i can get behind" sentiment.

Do you constantly keep updating your bios?
