Main thing is most people need a smaller freezer than fridge section, and the door mechanism is cheaper than drawers. So cheap models go with doors, and in that case, the smaller door is much easier to use on top than swinging on the bottom.

Got mine a couple months ago for the same price - wasn't damaged in transit as many have commented about - and it's been working great. IMO, an excellent small apartment fridge or second fridge if you have multiple roommates

Minor dents and FedEx didn't drop it off im the specific area I requested. So I had to trolly cart it from the curbside
Walmart customer service did give $30 refund for the dents which was about the price I paid for the 3 yr warranty. Back wall in fridge .compartment does get frozen water droplets. The cridping bin is cheap plastic and kinda useless space since the bin doesnt shut completely closed. Would've preferred an extra shelf area

Received mine yesterday, no damage, and food secured. Manual says it is designed to sit in 35 to 85F temp.

I bought this unit about a month ago at this price. It arrived undamaged and works fine. Pay attention to setup instructions as it initially takes a while for the refrigerator section to get cold but the freezer gets cold quicker it seems.

It was perfect for our garage. Doesn't take up too much space, the refrigerator holds approximately 6,12 packs of canned drinks (72) and you might actually be able to get more in there. The only issues I have had are condensation on the back wall of the refrigerator section and the back gets cold as we have had a couple of cans freeze but not burst.

Not disappointed with my purchase despite the issues so far but I'll need to see how it holds up during extreme cold/hot temps in future seasons.

I can provide pics if anyone needs or wants them.

Yes buy a Samsung or LG fridge with a compressor that fails 3 months after warranty like clockwork instead. Check out FB Marketplace for fridges and see how many "just need a new compressor" which actually costs as much as a new fridge.

that exactly right.. got mine set up right now.. was able to lay the cans down on their belly side by side. perfect frige for that.. Raising the feet in the front so that they will lean back and also helps gravity shut the door..
I received mine in Perfect condition a few days ago.. With the setting at number 4 the Freezer is currently at -12 degrees and the frige is at 35 degrees.. Best 200 spent this year

The manual states that it's not "garage ready" and the temps listed show supposedly that's the case. Nevertheless, I've been using mine in the garage for the last month or so with no major issues. We'll see if it stays alive thru winter/summer.

For $200 it's worth a gamble since a decent fridge for the garage can easily cost you hundreds more...when it's really more of a convenience than a necessity.

I also didn't have any shipping damage. It seemed well packed, and perhaps they addressed some of the issues with better packaging.
