Apologies to go OT, but if anybody cares to address:
I have a, I think 1st Gen LIon 18 volt kit that the batteries are finally getting a little weak on (probably at least 10 years old now.) I'm happy to jump up to the 20v system, but all these kits seem to have such a weird mix of good/average/strong tools...any strategies for putting together a kit that has XR Brushless for the tools that are worth it (I'm thinking Hammer Drill, Impact Driver, Saws) and a few good batteries for a good price?
I haven't done a deep dive, but even on the DeWalt site it doesn't look like they offer a best-of-class kit for some outrageous price.
Eh, maybe this kit is close to what I'm looking for?

Edit: no....this set has a bunch of the Atomic tools...no plastic gears for me...back to the drawing board.
Thanks for anybody who can offer some insight, and again, sorry for the highjack - feel free to ignore me :-)
