What's the cheapest plan that the in-store Walmart associate can add to make this work.

I think so, since it's under Verizon
Yup. I did two when it was 150. Paid 1 month of service and it unlocks automatically at 60

For you folks that purchased in-store and did NOT have a 3rd party rep activate a plan (aka had a normal WM employee override price). Can you return the $35 plan? Or, does the receipt have some wording on it like "non-returnable". I'd imagine if the card is sealed, you could take it right up to CS and get a $35 refund... or try another day. That would basically copy the ST website deal.

Obviously, if the plan was activated (using the scarce WARP system), no chance at returning after POS.
Honestly, they didn't activate it or set it up in the store - they just had me buy a $35 plan card with a scratch off thing on the back for the pin.

The card itself says "nonrefundable" on the back of it, but if the pin hasn't been unscratched/ revealed, I'm not sure if that changes anything regarding returns.

I kept the ST page up and was able to snag one just now. https://www.straighttalk.com/all-...on-prepaid

Looks like it goes in and out of stock.

I kept trying the "Place Order" button and my order just went through on 7th attempt within 15 mins or so.

Got one in nearby Walmart. Good birthday gift for my 11 year kid as the 1st phone.
Did you activate it with a Straight Talk rep? If you did, could you describe what the process was like? What personal information were you required to provide?

The plan doesn't seem to matter at WM, as I haven't seen anyone mention getting the deal to ring up automatically at the discounted price. So it seems to be a matter of finding someone who will actually do the price override. I got the $35 plan, which looked like their cheapest smartphone plan card on the shelf. Also, the WM details don't specify any particular plan required.

My mom is still using the original iPhone SE 2016. This will be an upgrade for her to a much newer phone. She uses Total by Verizon so I don't need to unlock it for her, since Total by Verizon and Straight Talk are sister companies.

according to walmart return policy prepaid phone cards are not returnable. Only the Phone itself is.

Yes, if you are needing them unlocked. If you are trading them in though, you don't need them unlocked.
WTH?? you dont need to get the phone unlocked to trade in, lets say tmobile?
