4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.
When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:
1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Since there was talk about orders being canceled for not having a plan, I ordered another one with the $45 plan around 5pm, but I made a minor typo with the billing zip code, so I'm hoping that order gets canceled now, since the order status for that one says "Pending payment approval".

the order i placed at 9am est still says shipping with your status...but the order placed at 1pm cst got shipped
agree....for other phones, i still see SKIP PLAN..but throws cookie error ..so strange....
The order was canceled. When I called to inquire, I was transferred a few times and got the "Warehouse Manager". She admitted nothing was wrong with my order or credit card, but it was canceled because they only had enough phones to fulfill the first 7 orders. She did not specify how many phones were in those 7 orders but did say my order was the 10th one, therefore it was not fulfilled. She was nice enough to call to check the "pickers" and see if they had any phones available, unfortunately, there weren't any available. Good luck to all those who got this deal from ST, very slick indeed!
PS, my order time was 10:17 AM EST, and the status was "Pending Payment Approval" for the whole time until it was canceled.

their website is so weird....
i added the phone for $49 without plan in the noon in one laptop...i checked now it is still there.., clicked on Duplicate", added another phone without plan...tried to check out...and it was not showing Guest check now and paypal option in safari..where as paypal and guest checkout shows in chrome.....
now created account...in my cart ,i have two phones with $49 ..but out of stocl...should i pull the trigger if inventorry comes back or should i ignore since already purchased 3
