Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.
Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

So I followed the steps to activate the device because I shared earlier we couldn't do so at the store due to lack of internet. When I go to thr website I need to log into the account at some point it asks if I want to get a plan or already have one, I didn't get a refill card at time of purchase but I was charged $35 for each one (I bought two). Now it's asking for a "service plan pin" to proceed with the activation but I have no 15 digit service plan pin! Already tried the sim number and imei and none of those work. I think I got screwed over $70 (35x2).

Man, I think I am confusing every one lol.. time for bed I guess.. let me rephrase again, two iPhones SE, let's call it Phone A (SIM A) and Phone B(SIM B) , tried activating Phone A with Sim A - failed to activate, as it's missing airtime. Tried Phone A with Sim B , worked like a charm. Sim A is still inactive, and as per ST rep, WM has not added airtime. So Sim B is the only active sim and it's working on both phones. Which ever phone I am sending the msg using SIM B, it is sending the unlock date(doesn't matter which phone the sim is in). One strange thing to note, if I go to settings in iPhone, both phone A and B , is showing the SIM B as a linked sim
I'd log into the ST website and see what it shows. If you see two lines with different IMEI numbers there, it's a good sign, as they might have both been set up right originally and the confusion may just be a temporary thing on the phone end. I'd avoid doing any more swapping though … try to keep them with their respective phones to avoid further possible complications. And maybe do a power cycle to get a fresh start once they both have the proper SIM card in.

Go back to store with receipt & ask for manager, hopefully they will fix it.

I was able to pick a few (5) up for $50 flat without a plan online. My question is, once I setup these phones they will be unlocked within 60 days? Even without having a st plan? Either way these will be excellent as wifi only devices.
No. Phones have to be activated to qualify for unlock (which requires a service plan).

They're pretty different phones. The SE 3 has 5G and a newer / faster A15 chipset, but the 11 has a bigger screen and more modern look without the home button. I prefer the smaller screen size of the SE for a light sleek feel, but obviously others prefer a bigger screen. I almost always have my iPad or laptop around, so my phone is mostly for calls and texts, which is a big factor for me. I also use it for fast food apps and Google Maps, but you don't really need a big screen for that. I usually keep the display mode set to "zoomed" view so that the display shows everything a little bigger.

Set up a second incognito webpage to check inventory and keep refreshing throughout the day

If you make any progress on getting an order in, and get the no inventory warning, stop and don't do anything until you see the inventory show up in the incognito window

Credit for this tip goes to the previous Slickdealer who posted it
