Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.
Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

I'm sure this has been asked......If I am buying this solely to trade to T-Mobile, does T-Mobile require the phone to be unlocked first?
Sim lock, no. iCloud lock, yes. I plan on trade it in on day 1.

Mine has not yet shipped and is in the "pending remote fulfillment" state. 1 phone with 1 35 plan, ordered at 6:05am MT yesterday.

They tend to get batches of shipments somewhat sporadically. While some more may be shipped throughout the week, they might also have already shipped out what they have in stock and it could be a few days or even a week or so before another batch comes in and more go out. They can be very unpredictable with it, so you can't do much of anything but wait and see how it plays out.

I haven't had an Iphone in 10+ years. So, the iCloud thing will require I open the phone box and set it up, before trading? Sorry for the dumb questions.

Everyone worried about them not being shipped yet is crazy. It hasn't even been a day. Give them time to get everything done. Idk if it's entitlement or ignorance but most things require a couple business days for processing.

you should have received the PIN from the rep who activated the phone. You should use this PIN to add the plan to your phone when you activate
I didn't need to add the pin in my case. In the store the $35 was somehow added to the sim kit attached to the phones case. She gave me a print out of my name, email & PIN number for a ST account. I simply added the sim and it started working as I was setting up the phone. She did mention if the activation didn't work, I would have to bring it back to the store for assistance

Periodically refresh on ST, looks to be going in and out of stock.

Remember it's a deal that's supposed to last more than 1 day.

I didn't know red would be an option since it's been showing out of stock when I check but someone else mentioned it was available earlier this morning.

I think they have a history of canceling orders for no reason. That's probably the concern.
