Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.
Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

But the $830 credit only works for Go5G Next or Plus customers. You'll be committed to 24 months' service after the trade-in in order to receive the credit in full. So you're new to T-Mobile, you should research if T-Mobile works better for you than your current carrier. I'm a Go5G+ customer, but I'm not particularly interested in an iPhone 15 and I'm not sure if SE3 will continue to be on the higher tier when 16 comes out next year.
I can't imagine the SE3 will stay higher tier for the 16 release, possible not even for the S24 release. My plan is to trade in the SE3 for a zFlip 5 now to use as a backup to my 15 pro max. Then in 2 years trade in the Flip 5 for $1000 towards a 17 pro max and sell the 15 PM. Now if only I can find a store that has both a ST rep and the phones in stock. It's been one or the other earlier this week.

Talking to Tracfone/Total wireless/Straight talk CS is like talking to a 3 year old. They all trained by idiots.

Finally spoke with an agent that opened support tickets

The irony of a company named "Straight Talk" lacking transparency during a big screw-up of their own making is something to behold. It would have been nice if ST had acknowledged their mistakes and clearly explained what they were going to do about the situation. Yet, instead, we get silence instead of straight talk.
they talk straight to you about nothing

T-Mobiles deals do. They give you $830 for it towards some of the fancier phones (including iPhone 15).
And pay $600+/year more for Go5G service compared to older plans? Hard pass.

They restocked and that is why they stated "Friday 6am".

All the walmarts were showing out of stock around me as well the past few days. Today I went there and got one phone and he had plenty. I wouldn't trust "walmart stock available" on the site anyways.

The customer right before was also buying the iphone se 2022. The employee was trying to upsell me on an at&t iphone 13 for $200 but it would be with a $50 and who knows what else requirements. I think the employee was lying about the $200 iphone 13 deal because I see the at&t iphone 13 deal online for $8.31 per month for 36 months and it is with bill credit. That would equate to $299.16 over 36 months. Not $200 but $300.

* My online Wednesday order is still showing "Pending remote fulfillment".

Followed the instructions to activate the new phone last night, but still no phone number today. No right signal, showing SOS only. Talking to the rep. So frustrating.

In somewhat a similar situation.
Received the phone yesterday. Set it up and tried to activate it, with no luck. Spend 3 hours on the phone with cs, with 3 times call dropped in the middle of the conversation.
Tried this morning and was told that a 'superior' will call me in the next 45 mins. Its been more than 3 hours since then with no call.
Phone or service is not activated , with no clue what to do now.
Really frustrated.
If you have issues activating it, you can go to Walmart and have the cell phone sales rep activate it for you. They have different people they can call vs standard customer service.

I am not sure if I believe him though because the "black friday online deal" is showing $8.31 over 36 months. Sounds like $300 in bill credits.

att postpaid plans are too expensive for me. He said it was like $50 per month plan. $$$

Went to my local Walmart today. The rep said they do not know how to activate in store. Also he mentioned that they will get separate units for iPhone SE for this deal with boxes marked as Black Friday deal on them(which sounded BS). Tried to sell me on AT&T and Verizion with $50 plans instead.

He mentioned the Straight Talk will be locked for 1 year. Can anyone verify this?
