Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.
Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

I must have the best Walmart wireless rep around. Monday I went in and showed her the ad, she took the phones out and did the transaction one phone at a time. Each was maybe 2-3 mins tops at the warp system ? Then 30 seconds at the Walmart register. I was done with two phones under maybe 7mins tops. She was willing to sell me more too ! But stupid manager happens to stop by (because someone on phone was calling about se3 stock status) saw me getting 3rd n said can't sell me lol. Rep was cool and willing to sell me as many as I wanted. Even asked me if I care she make random Name and email address lol ! But I had them on hand ready,so she entered them.

I stopped by again on sat and she was there. Got more and was same fast process. Amazing ! No upsell at bs $45/$55 plan some are getting. Just 35.

Absolutely a gem!
Protect her at all costs.

I just took one.
I got it home without activating it, and I was able to make calls with the sim card inserted in my cell phone. And I have a phone number. Sent me an unlock message telling me to unlock it on 2024/1/12 (I didn't enter anything)

When I checked out at the store, I entered my email into the walmart computer.
But there is no straight talk message in my email.

How do I know if he's going to autopay the money after a month?

Trade in value is $830 for iPhone 15 on tmobile or back up/secondary device for air tag tracking/imessage. I prefer google pixel as a primary phone.

I went in today, Sunday, 11/12/2023 to the Arnold, Missouri Walmart. Had an absolutely AWESOME experience! He knew exactly wat to do and did it quickly. Walked out with my phone and the $35 level of service for a grand total of $93.95.

As far as what to do with it goes, I will use it as a backup phone. I"m a diabetic and use special software to control my insulin using a program called LOOP. I've been told time and time again to get a backup just in case my phone craps out on me and I need to either get it repaired or replaced. Never could afford it. Now I can with this one!

Thank you SD!

I am assuming you purchased your SE (and $45 plan) from Walmart. Did you give them your email address? If so, go to straight talk website, click this icon
https://ibb.co/92JKSCn
type your email address, then choose "forgot password". You will receive an email from them to create new password. Follow the link, create password, then you will be able to log in and see your account detail.
We apologize. We cannot process your transaction at this time. Please try again later or call us at 1-877-430-2355.

i try enter email. got the information

Their web systems go down or act squirrelly sometimes. I'd just try again tomorrow and / or maybe try a different browser (Edge, Chrome, Safari) as occasionally something acts weird with a particular browser.

That's for if you picked it up at Walmart and they set it up there. If you ordered from ST, you'll need to get them on the phone if it's not recognizing your plan. Have your order number handy and make sure to tell them you ordered the plan with the phone so they can look it up.

When I purchased this from Walmart, should I have received the phone with the little grey pouch attached to the back as well as a plan card? I only received the phone/pouch. I am having problems activating because I cannot find the service pin anywhere.

If they did it properly, the phone is already activated and there is no need for a plan card. Try logging in at the ST website with the email you gave them and requesting a password reset as mentioned on the previous page

The Walmart phone is already activated. Put the sim in and turn it on and start answering questions.

Anyone else having trouble creating an account on Straight Talk? I just want to log in to make sure they didn't sign me up for auto-pay, but it keeps saying my password isn't complex enough when I try to make an account.

I'm not certain of this and maybe someone can verify, but I don't believe that anyone buying from Walmart gets signed up for auto-pay unless specifically requested and / or you give them payment info for recurring payments. The WARP system is separate from the Walmart registers and I'm fairly certain that no payment info from the Walmart transaction is passed over to ST like that.

However, you should still be able to get into your account to look. You said that you're creating an account. Your account is likely already created if they activated you and you just need to do the password reset for the email you gave them. Is that what you're doing when it gives you the password error or are you trying to create a new account from scratch?

Try to make your password like….Uppercase, lower case, numbers, and @ (Brazenwaffle58@) something like this 😊 I got 1 SE from Straight Talk, 1 from Walmart, None had set up for auto pay
