Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.

So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.

Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

Trade in value is $830 for iPhone 15 on tmobile or back up/secondary device for air tag tracking/imessage. I prefer google pixel as a primary phone.
Just want point out that the T-Mobile $830 trade-in value for iPhone 15 is only for the "Go5G Plus" plan and $1,000 for the "Go5G Next" plan. It's much lower at $350 for Go5G, Magenta, and ONE rate plans.

Ordered 1 Monday 10:15am without plan
Ordered 1 Wednesday night with $45 plan. Got shipping notification today on the one from Wednesday night. TBH , I hope they cancel my first two orders. If they do not ship tomorrow I am going to ask them to cancel,

Their web systems go down or act squirrelly sometimes. I'd just try again tomorrow and / or maybe try a different browser (Edge, Chrome, Safari) as occasionally something acts weird with a particular browser.

That's for if you picked it up at Walmart and they set it up there. If you ordered from ST, you'll need to get them on the phone if it's not recognizing your plan. Have your order number handy and make sure to tell them you ordered the plan with the phone so they can look it up.
got that, when i change to cell phone safari and use messager link to recovery password. evertything work five

and $35 plan have 10gb data for 1 month/ payment is none /autopay off

thanks guysApplauseApplause

When I purchased this from Walmart, should I have received the phone with the little grey pouch attached to the back as well as a plan card? I only received the phone/pouch. I am having problems activating because I cannot find the service pin anywhere.
I had the same problem, the store agent added the plan to the bill but didn't link to the phone. I went back to the walmart store and they called prepaid support WARP system prepaid service to get the activation PIN. It should have been printed on the receipt, but wasn't. They will give you a 15 digit PIN and thats the one you use to activate the plan. I had my receipt with me so they were able to easily pull it up.

During the activation call, if it's asking for the PIN that means the phone wasn't activated/plan wasn't linked during checkout. Lot of what others are saying phone is activated is not that true.

Maybe you can do it without visiting the store, but I was at the store so made it easier.

Long time lurker first time posting. This is a great community.

I follow the wiki and got one phone at Walmart on 11/11. Everything went well except I think the WARP Rep at Walmart typed my email wrong so when I tried to request password reset on straight talk web site, I got an error message. I called Customer Service/Supports and had them to change my email address but I still don't receive password reset emails either initiated from the Support or via the site's forgot password link. Does anybody have this issue? Oh, the Straight Talk Support told me to wait 48 hours and try again.

ST is probably run by the same IT/CS staff as Tracfone. Their email system has some major bugs and randomly fails to send emails to certain addresses. I've done many transactions with TF over the last year, but I've often had to do things through their phone/chat reps.

I got two this evening at a WM store. Surprisingly, they still had about 6 or more in stock.

The woman that took care of me said that the deal ended tonight, so I'm glad I stopped by when I did.

Not sure if it could be the same issue, but Nahaha just posted about getting an error when trying to do the password reset, but was then able to do it through Safari on her phone, so maybe certain browsers are problematic at the moment.
