Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.

So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.

Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

XR and 11 were battery champs. The SE3 won't be as good since it's a smaller device and smaller battery plus 5G added.
I bought one of the SE's this summer for $149. It was my first iPhone. It runs out of battery in one day, just leaving it on and not using it at all (I only paid for the one month). Is there something wrong with it or do I have to adjust anything to get more battery time from it. It just sits unused and eats the full battery in one day. What can I do?

ST is probably run by the same IT/CS staff as Tracfone. Their email system has some major bugs and randomly fails to send emails to certain addresses. I've done many transactions with TF over the last year, but I've often had to do things through their phone/chat reps.
Thank you for the reply!

That definitely seems odd if the battery is getting so low without being used. You may want to go to Settings / Battery and look to see if any unexpected apps appear high in the list of apps where it breaks it down by percentage used. Also, phones can use battery very quickly in areas with low coverage where they're constantly searching / connecting. While that usually isn't a problem these days, I wonder if you could be in an area where 5G is somewhat spotty or problematic and it ends up switching back and forth between 5G and LTE or something like that. By default, the phone is set to Auto-switch between the two. You might try going into Settings / Cellular / Data Options and forcing it into LTE mode and see if battery life improves drastically. If so, you could then try forced 5G mode and see how that works in case it could be related to too much switching back and forth. Anyway … just something that might be worth a try. 5G is still pretty new and may not be perfect in all areas yet. I recall some odd things when the 3G / 4G transition happened.

Not sure if it could be the same issue, but Nahaha just posted about getting an error when trying to do the password reset, but was then able to do it through Safari on her phone, so maybe certain browsers are problematic at the moment.

https://slickdeals.net/f/17036050-walmart-stores-64gb-apple-iphone-se-for-straight-talk-2022-1-month...
Thank you for the help!

I read the post. Nahaha had the same problem as I originally but after I spoke with customer service reps and had them to changed my email address, that error went away.

But I still didn't get any password reset emails either from the customer service rep pushed it from their side or by me went through the password reset process. This was escalated to their call back Support. She told me to wait for 2 days and try it again...

Some one asked which Walmart in Long Island, NY to get the deal. I went to the one in Commack. It has WARP to activate the phone on the spot. I paid total of $99.87 (Phone:49, Bronze plan:35 plus taxes)

3 things to be careful.

1. Like others mentioned, the WARP is not always there. The best bet is around 9:00am.

2. In the process, they will push you to buy 2 years protection plan. Decline it!

3. Make sure they have your email address entered correctly! Right now I am going through a painful process to get my password reset and get into my straight talk account (so I can be sure the auto pay is disabled).

Why won't it be disabled? They don't enter any payment info into the WARP system.

That account is forever messed up. They will never have a resolution bc they have no clue why.

Just want point out that the T-Mobile $830 trade-in value for iPhone 15 is only for the "Go5G Plus" plan and $1,000 for the "Go5G Next" plan. It's much lower at $350 for Go5G, Magenta, and ONE rate plans.
It's $830 off right now for the regular plans, BUT you must add a line to qualify, otherwise it's only $350 off

I had that same issue with an iphone SE a few weeks ago, and I reset the the phone to factor settings. After I did that, the battery started lasting like normal.

Get up to $830 off Apple iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, or 15 Pro Max via one-time trade-in credit and 24 monthly bill credits when you purchase on a monthly payment plan and trade-in an eligible phone on a new line of eligible Go5G, Magenta, ONE service.

It needs Go5G, Magenta or One UNLIMITED plans.

I must have the best Walmart wireless rep around. Monday I went in and showed her the ad, she took the phones out and did the transaction one phone at a time. Each was maybe 2-3 mins tops at the warp system ? Then 30 seconds at the Walmart register. I was done with two phones under maybe 7mins tops. She was willing to sell me more too ! But stupid manager happens to stop by (because someone on phone was calling about se3 stock status) saw me getting 3rd n said can't sell me lol. Rep was cool and willing to sell me as many as I wanted. Even asked me if I care she make random Name and email address lol ! But I had them on hand ready,so she entered them.

I stopped by again on sat and she was there. Got more and was same fast process. Amazing ! No upsell at bs $45/$55 plan some are getting. Just 35.

Absolutely a gem!
How many did you get?
