Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.
Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

A lot of people on here seem to think that we should be allowing Straight Talk hold our money for 60+ days without providing any information and thank them for the privilege...

IMO everyone with the "Pending remote fulfillment" deception should do a cc chargeback because this is FRAUD on the part of ST. They have taken, and are holding your money without the intention of fulfilling your order while telling you otherwise.
Nobody said wait 60 days. It is about understanding a highly demanding deal with over 300 thumbs up and understanding that there have been delays in all other sort of other various purchases. Nothing new to not have a purchased product in my hands from 6 days ago. When I purchased my bike that took a couple weeks to deliver, was that a fraud charge? When I purchased my paint that took a month to deliver, was that a fraud charge? Should have I report a charge back after 7 days for my bike and paint purchase?

You say that straight talk has no intention of delivering my phone and plan deal because you know that from what? 6 days and some people are acting like it is 6 months.

What is an acceptable amount of time for them to hold consumer money under false pretenses, pray tell? Their customer service is an inpenetrable fortress of deflection. The only way to get their attention as a consumer is by way of a credit card chargeback.
Some places charge when orders are placed rather than when shipped. It doesn't happen at places like Amazon, but a lot of lesser companies do it. Yep, their CS sucks and should never be depended on. And they're often slow as crap. Sure, if you don't like it and never want to deal with them, that's understandable. Do a chargeback and be done with it. But for those who are OK putting such things on a back burner without a second thought for a couple of weeks when some of their deals come along, they may want to hold off and let things play out before jumping the gun with a chargeback. Those who have gotten multiple deals from them realize the trade-offs can be worth it (although it's certainly not for everyone).

I got this deal at walmart, that deserves 300 thumbs up, but there isn't even a thread for the straighttalk.com decepticon deal we're talking about. Tracfone Inc. has a history of not delivering on these deals (See also: iphone 11 last year). So, yes: if your bike or paint were purchased from Tracfone Inc. and has been "Pending remote fulfillment" since 11/6, then it's a fraud charge. Fool me once and all that...

I called customer service and was told that their system shows my order did not process fully on their end and to get my money back I should do a chargeback with my bank. They say they're not able to process a refund.
Yikes. I called customer service to see what was going on for an order played on 11/6 with a bronze phone plan and I was told the order was cancelled because it didn't have the "required" plan of silver or higher. When I asked when my order was cancelled they couldn't say exactly when, just that it was cancelled. Seems like the majority of us stuck in "pending remote fulfillment" will have to wait for the refund from Straight Talk.

Yeah, ScottoDono mentioned that he got a similar reply earlier and now sees a pending refund on his CC.

You did not buy a phone in this deal, so I am having a hard time understanding why you are so mad.

I wish they were able to say mine was canceled. For mine they say that it didn't process fully and therefore they can't process a refund. So I'm not sure if a refund would ever be possible on their end without a chargeback.

Others have had similar issues in past threads and gotten refunds (except the chaos in the iPhone 11 thread). It's just the that their customer service reps always know absolutely nothing of how it goes down, so usually just say whatever gets a customer off the phone fastest.

spent 20 minutes getting bounced around ST's CS reps until I was transferred to the "refund dept". Guy knew what I was calling about, said they have NO mechanism to cancel orders and refund $ once the order is placed. He actually encouraged me to file a charge back and force ST to pay me back.

Talk about a S-show. I'm filing my paypal dispute and closing the book on ST forever. To those who made this work, congrats. Don't give this company any more of your $ !

You got basically the same response I got (they told me they wouldn't ship, refund, or cancel) and I am wondering if this is just one of their new responses they are using. My order was first thing last Monday morning and was with the $45 plan. I am still going to wait a bit for the chargeback, but there is no question I will not be dealing with ST again. The older I get, the more I care about customer service and want to reward companies that value it, big or small. Those who have dealt with ST in the past may be right and waiting will pay off, but this deal has been a train wreck in so many different ways.

I ordered 2, one with plan and another one without plan from Nov 06 on Straight Talk. Still pending remote fulfillment. Don't know why.

Yeah I wouldn't mind waiting if they didn't charged me and never shipped both my order with $35 and $45 plan. I don't understand how some ppl are okay for this company doing such bad practice. Holding ppl money and not doing anything until they had to contact them, and again, still can't issue a refund is definitely a s-show

Not that Im pretending to be an expert in law (except perhaps bird law) but isn't that enough reason to hit ST with a class action lawsuit at this point? There's no way a business is allowed NOT to process refunds after internally cancelling or not being able to deliver goods or services paid by a customer

Also who is thumbing down each and every comment here criticizing the way this company is operating?
Edit:Here they are again, Tracfone/ST must be trying to do some damage control or SD is suddenly filled with shills
