Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.

So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.

Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

According to some earlier posts, you do not need to unbox the phone if it is activated at Walmart. However, you may want to add the phone to a Straight Talk account just to verify that it is truly activated.

I got two of these phones from Walmart on Sunday. One worked fine, but the other one was not active 3 days later. I had to manually activate it via the web site (fortunately I had the paperwork with the activation code).
So in order to check if phone is activated correctly instore we just go to ST website and setup account with the email that we provided for the phone at time of purchase and then we can check if the device has been added correctly and active...so if it shows up there on the account then it is active and no need to open open box, turn on phone, etc. and it will automatically unlock after 60 days?

If, however we setup ST account with email and see phone has not been added as a device to the account and we have the paperwork from Walmart then we can manually add the device to the account and it will be become active at that time and and at this point we still don't need to open box/phone for it to be activated and start the 69 day unlock countdown. Is that correct?

Is the paperwork you had the print out from the WARP system and do they give you a copy of it even if they say it has been scanned/activated or do you need to request it or take a picture of it if they don't give a copy to you? Is this the paperwork with UPC that they then scan at the Walmart register to give you the $49 phone price point?

Love to see people filing chargebacks. That'll get those people blacklisted and leaves more deals for others. Just wait until people start posting refunds and those who filed chargebacks have to wait months for the "investigation".

Lot of bad information being thrown around. Disputing a charge because you didn't receive goods or services is 100% allowed. Look up your own issuer but some examples below with links.

PayPal dispute

https://www.paypal.com/bm/webapps...resolution

"Problem with a purchase
Did something go wrong when making a purchase with PayPal? Did your order not arrive? Did something arrive that was very different than described? The first step is to dispute the transaction through PayPal. "

Chase - https://www.chase.com/personal/cr...ds/dispute

"Charge Error

A charge error is a transaction you recognize but appears to be incorrect, such as:
A recurring transaction or trial subscription you canceled
A product or service you never received or received late
A one-time purchase you returned or canceled, and you still haven't received a credit
A charge higher than the amount on your receipt
A product or service you received and are dissatisfied with
Your card was charged even though you used cash or a different card
The same card was charged more than once for the same transaction"

Amex - https://www.americanexpress.com/u...n-for.html

If you have unrecognised charges from multiple merchants please call the number on the back of your Card as soon as possible.

You can dispute a transaction for the following reasons:

If you don't recorgnise a charge
If you don't agree with the charge amount, or you have been billed more than expected
If you have been charged more than once for the same purchase
If you have cancelled or returned the purchase
If you haven't received the goods or services, or the business cancelled your goods or service
If the received goods/services are not as described
If you paid with a different method of payment
If you'd like the documentation for your personal records
If you want to cancel a recurring billing charge, or you cancelled a monthly or recurring billing charge but you're still being billed after the cancellation date
Yep and then ST blacklists you. Good luck.

I don't why some are having issues. I just picked up two at Walmart and everything activated without issues. This is my 14th phone from the deal.
What will you do with 14? If flipping, what do you see as value?

I see some sites are taking for $50-65 trade in

I haven't seen that posted yet, but they should start rolling out soon also, as a number of cancellations have started seeing the refunds come through. The recalled ones may take a little longer since they probably go through the process of getting physically scanned back into the system once they're returned before the cancellation is processed.

Thanks for the information, repped. Ditto for me. My account still shows Pending remote fulfillmentlaugh out loud

You may be able to HUCA a rep to resend the deal. However, the odds are 50/50 that the fraud department will reject it again. I needed 6 phones and ended up with 7. Now it is on the next deal.

The phone isn't that popular because the phone screen is just 4.7" screen. Lets be real and say that larger screen phones are more enjoyable and easier to type for lot of certain apps. However when I am outside the home, I am not spending much time browsing chrome or watching lot of YouTube videos so big screen isn't as a high priority. I don't do any demanding games especially for long time. Performance, carryability and comfort are shining points. The iphone se 2022 is a nice phone to pair with an iPad or a samsung tablet. I have a Samsung tablet and iPad and I prefer to use that over a large screen phone or iPhone se 2022 at home. If someone doesn't have a tablet or secondary large screen phone and expect to put lots of hours into the iphone se 2022 with watching Netflix movies, playing lot of games, streaming live sports, etc, it won't last that long. This phone does last a day and half with my use. With normal use, it should get a full day. If someone is a teenager with their head glued onto the screen with +7 hours screen time per day, the iphone se 2022 isn't right. However it is a nice way to help in trying to disconnect. People shouldn't be on their phones for those ridiculous amount of hours. Some people say that they got 8 hours screen time in a day from whatever phone and I'm thinking "You are pretty much on your phone for half the day you were up.".

* I am surprised how good I can type on a 4.7" screen. I thought it would be more difficult.

* I can stream my music during my pretty long workout and the battery will only drop like 6-7% which is much better than I expected. I am not talking about live fm like from tuneinradio as that is a monster drainer.

* Would I prefer an iphone 13? Sure but I just don't see the big bang for the buck right now with that. The iphone 11 is a nice option but the support won't be too much. I can't fault someone if they prefer the bigger screen of an iPhone 11and improved battery. I am still not the biggest fan of using 6.1" phone at home when I definitely enjoy the tablet and my 6.4"-6.8" screen phones at home.
I'm absolutely fuming that I missed the iPhone 13 deal on here that was still active a few days ago. $299 for an iPhone 13 is an unbeatable deal. Probably the best cell phone deal this entire holiday season. Now I'm stuck with trying to get this iPhone SE.

If they used PayPal, dispute takes 5 days. Not months.
