In the in store ad, the fine print states "Service Plan purchased by current subscribers will be added to account and refilled when existing service days end." Does that mean it will auto-refill and charge the credit card that you use to check out the phone?
I don't think so. When you purchase a plan for an account which already has an active plan, it's basically added to your "reserve" and can then be accessed once your current plan expires. I believe that's all it's trying to say. In other words, it's not going to activate immediately and waste what's left of your current plan.

So I purchased 4 phones from 2 different stores today, but not sure if there are options for the reps to select auto-refill. The first rep just asked my name and email adress, but the second rep ask for my social, address, and driver license. Do you think any of them selected auto-renew for me? Are they able to do that in store?

Is the PIN by any chance on the receipt? The associate told me the phone cards are enough but clearly that is not the case. I don't have the pin only the st 35 card serial and number. Thanks!

I don't believe that auto-refill is done for in-store purchases unless maybe if someone requests it and gives them payment info for that system. The WARP system is separate from the Walmart registers and I don't believe that any payment info would be transferred to them. Also, I haven't seen a single person who purchased them from Walmart mention that auto-refill was somehow enabled. It wasn't on mine.

Edit: See updated reply below. Check on that second account because they shouldn't have asked for your social or DL.

You should not need any PIN card or number if the activation was done properly at Walmart. Just pop the SIM in and turn the phones on. Maybe give it some time and power-cycle if it doesn't come up immediately. You can also see if your plan shows up by logging in at the ST website using the email you gave and "forgot password" option.

You don't need pin - if purchased in store it should already be activated (that was requirement of deal). All I did was insert sim & reboot phone, number was automatically set up & could make/receive calls. Texted unlock to 611611 twice & got expected unlock date.

None of them should be auto-refill, but you may want to double-check the phones from the second rep. He should not have asked for any of that information. Make sure he didn't sign you up for post-paid account or a phone lease agreement. Some others here have reported that the reps have tried to do that.

What the first rep did is exactly how it should have been done.

If your phones don't automatically activate, you can try two things:

1. Create an account on Straighttalk.com and activate the phone through the website. You will need the IMEI and the PIN from the paperwork (not the Walmart register receipt). This is what worked for me.

2. If you don't have the PIN, you probably need to go back to the store and have the rep look up your order. They should be able to print out your PIN or find out why your phone isn't activating.

The in-store activation doesn't always work. I got 2 more phones earlier today and tried to add them to my ST account as existing numbers. The website said something to the effect of the ESN's could not be found.

Then I tried adding them by activating new devices. I entered the IMEI and then the service PIN. This was successful and the new devices/phone numbers show up in my account.

I haven't opened the boxes yet, and I don't plan to. I'm going to try and sell them as new in 60 days time. Hopefully, I'll be able to get confirmation from others in this thread that the phones will activate and unlock while sealed.

I don't know for certain, but I don't see why not.

I have the SE (2022) with Straight Talk's $49 service. The phone is great for under $100. No complaints. Can't really tell the difference between this one and my 8. I have my Straight Talk service set on auto refill and it doesn't give me any problems. No dropped calls or any service issues. When you call them, you need to be able to hear accents. But I almost never call unless I'm updating a credit card or setting up a new phone.

I know they won't let you buy a gift card with another gift card. They may consider a prepaid phone card like a gift card.

Received my refund on the 16th on both my orders from the 6th.
Did you initiate the process with ST or did the refund happen automatically? Thanks.

If you purchase this deal in the store, your online account will only have your name and email address, no payment method stored, so you are not auto enrolled the "auto-refill".
I can confirm cause i got my phone yesterday in the store and I checked my online account.
