Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.
Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

How you activated your iPhone? A new number? What https://www.tfwunlockpolicy.com/ say about your iPhone? Have you ever moved the sim from the iPhone to other phones?

I activated my iPhone through Walmart local store. Never used the SIM card elsewhere. The tfw website just says the regular policy, nothing specific to my sim. The website didn't say I need to use the service for 60 days although the agent on the call said so and of course I only paid 30 days

I mean, if you put your imei in the "serial number" on the tfw website to check, what did it tell you?

When did you activate the phone? Are you sure it has been at least 60 days since then? Did you reset the phone?

What does it say if you text UNLOCK to 611611 from that phone? (You need to have the SIM in, but shouldn't need active service to get a reply). Text the same thing a second time if no reply at first.

Have you tried calling the unlocking department directly at 1-888-442-5102?

Mine just got unlocked today. I had activated mine using eSIM on an existing Tracfone line, via the IMEI2 number. I wasn't sure it was going to work out, but today is my 60th day and under Carrier Lock it says "No SIM restrictions". I also tested it with another sim card to confirm. tfwunlockpolicy.com webste says it is not eligible for unlock, and texting UNLOCK returns "You're device is already unlocked", which it has said all this time due to the device it replaced having already been unlocked. So now, I still have the original ST 30-day Unltd. plan that I should be able to activate and use. If not, not a big deal; I'm just glad it worked out using my method.

Update: OK, so I was able to activate the bundled plan as well! Tried online, but after going through the activation wizard it kept asking me for the plan PIN. So I chatted, then hit the same hurdle, and scheduled a callback. I got the callback 10 mins later, explained the issue and gave the rep my original order number and IMEI of the bundled device, and she was able to activate it right away! I've now popped the SIM into a compatible hotspot device, and it seems to be working at the moment, so hopefully it will continue to for the rest of the plan month.

Mine is unlocked automatically after 60 days. What are the carriers this phone can work with?

Does anybody know if this device will work w/ Verizon's phone service after it's unlocked?
