Check out this detailed reddit post with a breakdown of the different tiers of retro handhelds, very helpful: https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGamin...kingdom_a/

Also, YT check out Retro Game Corps, Russ's videos are super informative!

I just got one of these in the last month. For context, I also have a Miyoo Mini Plus and a Steam Deck. This has definitely been my go to device for PS1 emulation and below. Much more comfortable to hold than the two other devices for retro games. It's not quite pocketable, but it's been an amazing experience at home.

N64, Dreamcast, PSP and DS have all been a decent experience to a degree, though I would look for a more powerful device if those systems are what you are really after.

Decent deal on my current favorite retro gaming handheld. Installed with JelOS. Software runs well

I just got the Powkiddy RGB30 and the 1:1 ratio screen is one of the best I've ever seen in a portable emulator handheld.

Wow… 30,000 games…. How is your son doing in school?
Studies show consistently that kids who play video games have better grades than those who don't

Where can we see the game list for 20000 / 30000 / 60000 games? I'm completely new to this...I mostly play fighting games, such as Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom, King of Figthers..etc..just wondering if the "16G+64G=20000 Game" will have those preloaded? thank you.

Got this for my 9 year old son who is very into mario and sonic games. He absolutely loves it. You should absolutely get the 128gb card in the package deal, as it comes preloaded with over 30,000 games. I thought I was going to have to load games for him, but was pleaantly surprised that it already had most games. I did have to load mario games, but almost all other games are pre-loaded
Here's some great copy pasta from the Ambernic subreddit.

You're not using the included SD cards or ROMs, right? Guides have been up for nearly a full year telling people not to use the included SD cards.vThey don't work right.Im Iwish this was a sticky in the subreddit. Guides say NOT to use them. There are countless comments telling people NOT to use them. Yet there is a post every few days where someone is SHOCKED to discover that their saves won't work, or a game doesn't work, or their data is lost, all because they used a bad SD card or bad ROMs.

If you want to get into these retro handhelds I would suggest paying a bit extra for a Tiger 618 processor handheld either a Retroid Flip or one or the Retroid Pocket 3+ line up. Anbernic also a few the chipset which would be a decent option. Another option is to go with the Retroid 2S which doesn't have a 618 processor but a slightly weaker one but better than the one in this handheld, and to top it off direct from Retroid it's only around 100 before shipping. And also if you do get a retro handheld be ready and willing to put effort in because to get the most out of them these handhelds take some effort getting set up.

I'll ask if he's able to save. I don't think the problem is faulty sd card but the sd itself is almost 100% full. I think you are meant to save on the primary 16gb sd card with firmware and not 128gb game sd card. First thing i did was plug the sd card in my pc and copy every rom to a folder so i can easily make another if needed

Hi,
Does the "16GB+128GB" mean 16GB onboard + a 128GB SDcard?

There are two cards; 16 Gb for OS, and 128 Gb for ROMs.

TIL, updated the OP with the information I always thought it was internal storage but didn't know there's 2 SD slots until I saw the pic from Amazon, thanks!
